Datong Onetwo Hotel(Datong ancient city Daiwangfu shop)
"The service was exceptionally good, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. This is the only B&B I've ever been reluctant to leave."
Dadan Hotel
"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the city center, making it easy to get to both the ancient city and commercial areas. Parking was also convenient for those arriving by car. Great value for money! The rooms were clean and tidy, with a good separation of wet and dry areas. The soundproofing was also decent. The butler was warm and patient, always ready to answer any questions, which definitely enhanced our positive impression of Datong."
Wyndham Grand Plaza Royale , Datong
"Extremely satisfied! Every day, drinks, teas, coffee capsules are replenished, and the room is cleaned meticulously. The mattress is also super comfortable. The staff are very polite and always greet you. They provide L'Occitane toiletries, which, while not super expensive, show attention to detail and elevate the experience. The breakfast is lavish and starts at 7 AM; I recommend going early as it can get crowded. The restaurant downstairs is delicious, affordable, and no waiting in line – fantastic!"
Renyi Inn
"Renyi Inn was an absolutely wonderful discovery. We had an amazing stay — the kind you never want to leave! The staff are exceptionally warm and friendly, always smiling and ready to help with anything you need. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the cleanliness of the rooms and common areas is impeccable — every detail is taken care of with great attention. We want to sincerely thank every single person who works at this special place: thank you for making us feel right at home, for your patience, and for the genuine warmth with which you welcomed us. The rooms are clean and odor-free, the smart home system is very convenient, the bedding is comfortable and the kids sleep soundly, the service is attentive, and it's conveniently located near the old town. A great choice for family trips! The hotel environment is quiet and peaceful, the cleanliness is excellent, the facilities are new, and the smart home system is a huge plus for families with children. Parking and charging are also very convenient. Most importantly, there's a great yoga room, and the breakfast of knife-cut noodles is also quite good."

Wan Tu · Yunqi Mountain Villa (Datong Ancient City Branch)
"I've been to Datong many times, always staying in chain hotels because I'm worried about the hygiene of guesthouses. But this guesthouse I stumbled upon was a wonderful surprise! It was incredibly clean, the facilities were new, and it was very quiet! The room wasn't big, but the owner's attention to detail was evident in every detail! I'm a bit of a clean freak, and the cleanliness was truly remarkable! The owner and front desk staff were also very welcoming and attentive, practically always ready to help! It's right next to the Prince Dai's Mansion, and there are electric scooters for rent right outside, which is very convenient! My eight-year-old son absolutely loved it! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Datong!"
Four Points by Sheraton Datong Pingcheng (Datong Ancient City)
"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right on the main road, making getting around super easy. They offer free parking, and you can take the elevator directly from the parking garage to your room floor, which is very convenient. Mia at the front desk was excellent – she processed my checkout incredibly fast and even reminded me to scan my parking ticket. Very responsible and great service!"

PINGCHENGFUHOTEL
"Excellent!! The hotel is beautiful, quiet, and lovingly decorated. But the best part was the treatment received by the entire staff, especially Irene's kindness and professionalism."
Da Tong Weidu International Hotel
"The location is incredibly convenient for business trips, making it super easy to get around. You can tell this was a high-end hotel back in the day, and the facilities are still quite good, even if they show their age a little. The upside of that is you don't have to worry about any new renovation smells."
Rui Feng Hotel
"The hotel's location is superb; it's the perfect choice for exploring the old city, with all the sights and great food nearby. The hotel is very clean, the restaurant food is delicious, and the staff provide excellent service. As I was traveling alone and wanted to try local specialties, the staff kindly reduced the portion sizes, which was great – tasty and no waste! The room facilities are new, but there's a minor issue: the sink and shower are in separate areas, and the bath towels are kept under the sink. This makes it inconvenient to grab a towel after showering. If you take it into the shower beforehand, there's nowhere to hang it. Perhaps a hook could be added?"
Yungang Meigao Hotel
"Highly recommended hotel with excellent value for money. The service was great, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We even got a free upgrade to a superior room upon check-in and received complimentary fruit during our stay, plus a small gift upon check-out. Although the hotel might be a bit older, it's very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The toiletries provided were of high quality, and the tissues were thick and plush. The shower facilities were excellent, making for a very comfortable experience. Breakfast offered a good variety of options and tasted delicious. Overall, considering the price, it's a hotel that leaves you satisfied from check-in to check-out. I'm genuinely recommending this hotel and writing all this because I truly mean it."
Lihao International Hotel
"In the morning, I saw the sunrise over Hengshan Mountain from the 20th-floor buffet restaurant. In the evening, fireworks lit up the street outside my window. Enjoying a cup of coffee by the electronic bonfire at midday was the most pleasant moment. I spent an unforgettable Spring Festival holiday in Huai'ren, Shanxi. Thumbs up to Ms. Cheng at the front desk, Ms. Tang in room service, and Ms. Mulan in the breakfast restaurant for their meticulous and thoughtful service! 👍"
youqing hotei
"This hotel didn't have any ratings yet, but I chose it based on a few glowing reviews. First off, there's parking right in front of the hotel, and if that's full, they have their own parking lot just across the road, and a friendly security guard will show you the way. The lobby has coffee, snacks, and even a kids' play area. Each floor is neatly stocked with bottled water for guests to grab whenever they like. I was amazed when I entered my room – it was huge! 👍 The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, smart fixtures, and the TV was enormous – casting to it was a blast. The room was clean and tidy. There's a laundry room and a restaurant on the 2nd floor. For this price, getting all these amenities is definitely worth it! 😁 Now for the important part: the service. From the security guard and the front desk ladies to the maintenance guys, the housekeeping staff, and the restaurant workers – everyone greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello when we came and went. When you're traveling, who doesn't want to feel happy every day? 😍 The location is great too; it's convenient for all the attractions and there are plenty of delicious and affordable food options nearby. This is definitely my top choice hotel in Datong. I hope they keep up the good work, and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends! 💯"
Garden Hotel
"Centrally located in the ancient city, right next to Gulou, and within walking distance to attractions like Jiulongbi, Huayan Temple, and Daiwangfu. Great food options like Longjuxiang are also nearby. It's so convenient to pop back to the hotel for a rest when you're tired before continuing your sightseeing. The hotel staff are all very polite and always greet you with a smile. The hotel is very clean, and the drinks in the mini-fridge are surprisingly affordable, even cheaper than outside! We specially tried the recommended Chinese restaurant, and the food was delicious, especially the ribs – so tender they practically melt in your mouth, absolutely amazing. I was very satisfied with this stay and hope the hotel continues to thrive."
Gaodu Boutique Hotel
"very good"
Kyoto International Hotel (Datong Daqing Road RT-Mart)
"Service: Excellent, the front desk staff was very welcoming. Facilities: The room was very spacious, I'd say it was quite tall, which made for a very comfortable and non-cramped stay. Plus, it had an 'Xiao Du' smart assistant and robot service. Hygiene: The room was very clean, with great attention to detail, even the water glasses had lids. The bathroom glass was also very clean."
Cloud Villa | Scenic Designer Hotel by Ancient Wall (Huayan Temple, Datong)
"Beautiful rooms, very helpful staff and great location. The best hotel I’ve stayed in China, I look forward to coming back again."
QIAN ONSEN HOTEL
"Traveling with my family this time. I initially booked two nights here because it was a new guesthouse with hot springs, but I was a bit nervous since there weren't many reviews for a new place. However, my stay turned out to be excellent! The butler offered service with a constant smile and was always ready to assist with any request. The hotel's decor has a fantastic quality, and the attention to detail in every corner shows that the guesthouse invested heavily in its facilities, easily meeting five-star hotel standards."
Moshang Light Luxury Hotel (Datong Ancient City Huayan Temple Branch)
"The location is great. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was polite and helpful."
Datong Jixiashan · SUNYATA Resort Hotel
"The rooms are well-lit and each has its own unique layout, though there's no TV. The doors are quite heavy, which is interesting. 😄 The building materials are mostly natural stone, with varying textures from rough to smooth, creating a beautiful effect in the light and shadows. Breakfast was good; the pastries and breads were small and exquisite, allowing you to try a variety without feeling overly full. They also offered local specialties – I tried the Hunyuan cold noodles, which were refreshing and delicious! 😋"
Holiday Inn DATONG by IHG
"Had a great stay at the Datong Holiday Inn! The facilities were excellent, and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were very welcoming, and the surroundings were beautiful. Overall, I was very satisfied! 👍"
