"This hotels location is great. It's near to everything. I walked to the main tourist attractions. The hotel room was great. I was expecting a single room, but I got a double, always a bonus. The room is a little dated, but I quite liked that. It took me back to when I was a child going down the working man's club with my parents 🤣 keeping it retro , love it! The room had everything I needed. It was clean and light (even had shutters and blacked out curtains, which made the room dark). The staff were helpful & polite, which is all I ask for. The only negatives were the tram line (which could be quite loud and rumble at times) & the hotel tax; they wanted it in cash/euros I didn't have any euros as I didn't think I'd need them, thinking I could pay with everything by card. Other than that, a great stay in Rome."

Great
GGuest UserFantastic stay at Villa Aurora rooms whilst I was in Rome. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished. Fully functional air conditioning (rather than those temperamental units in other places) really was a joy to come back to during the heat of a Rome summer. But so far, I've just commented on some features of the room, rather than my experience here. What will endure in my memory as I look back was the warm, classically no-nonsense Italian hospitality I had from Donatella. Throughout my time here, she made sure I was well looked after with room cleaning, bottled water, towels etc. But I most appreciate her assistance in terms of local knowledge. Local knowledge such as a good seafood restaurant , ”Trattoria del pesce” just down the road (which happens to also be in the Michelin guide); such as to not miss out on the Baths of Caracalla; and perhaps more trivially, but arguably also essential, where to do my laundry! Thank you so much for making my stay here such a pleasure Donatella, and for adding both a new Italian word and outlook to my vocabulary - ”tranquilo”.

AAnonymous UserThe service was excellent; they even messaged me a few days before to ask about my arrival time. The Asian gentleman who checked us in was super friendly and spoke great English. On our last day, he even helped us book a taxi. The location is amazing – just a short walk around the corner and you're at the fountains!

AAnonymous UserMy overall experience was fantastic! The location is great, with plenty of shops nearby and all the attractions within walking distance. The common areas and restaurant are well-decorated and equipped. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious set menus at good prices, and I highly recommend the roasted potatoes at the buffet. The staff were all incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. The beds are large with curtains for excellent privacy. My only minor complaints are that turning over in bed or pulling the curtains creates a lot of noise, and the sensor lights in the bathroom automatically turn off. Other than that, it was a superb experience!

KKseniaThis was an incredibly wonderful hotel. You could get coffee, and there was a kitchen just 10 minutes from the Colosseum. The service was perfect, and we were able to help you choose restaurants and attractions. We were fully responsive and answered any questions. We'll definitely be returning to this hotel.

GGuest UserThe two main beds were relatively clean. However, the sofa bed was dirty and didn't have a mattress. Linens weren't replaced during our stay; we had to get fresh towels and trash bags from the front desk ourselves. It felt very much like a self-service arrangement. I hadn't experienced this kind of accommodation before and found it hard to get used to. Check-in was incredibly slow, taking over an hour, which was quite inconvenient. While it's a bit far from the city center, the transportation is good, and there's a large supermarket right across the street, which was a plus. The airport shuttle bus also stops directly opposite, which was very convenient.

DD&CMckIts very clean, we stayed way at the back, persons refused to help us to get to the front, the help desk dosnt answer the phone and the dont know to speak, I saw ****** at its best, my friend had a disability and we were refused a lift. The black guy were the one who tried to help. Very ******, would never return. We went to the icecrem shop the two young people hardly spoke, the saw us as blacks the assume we needed the smallest icecream, the didn't give us an opportunity to choose, I asked why not let us choose, the young man just made a funny face, I only complained the purchase because of the kids.

Kkat.tripsIt was a great stay here at Hotel Lodi. My partner and I are used to simple and modest places as we've been traveling across Europe so Hotel Lodi was everything we were looking for. The en suite was clean and came with good amenities like soap, body wash, and shampoo. And our room had a TV so we were able to relax and enjoy a show together every night. The Italian guy at the desk was super nice and funny. If you go there with a kind attitude, you'll surely receive the energy back. A few notes, I don't think there's an elevator there so this might not be great for people traveling with a ton of luggage. However my partner and I only had a large backpack each so it was good for us to make it up and down the stairs. Another fun thing to do get around town is the Lime Bikes all around the neighborhood. There were lots around Hotel Lodi it made the slightly inconvenient area of stay way more convenient.

AAnonymous UserAccommodation can be self check in , you can check in after 7:30 pm. The host sent the check-in guide on the same day, too late. He will give you a link to fill in the personal information for Online check-in. Even if WhatsApp contacted him before check-in, he would not reply to the check-in information. Because I wanted to see if he could confirm before check-in, but he said that he would reply to the check-in information on the day of check-in. If you still haven't received any information on the day of check-in, you can call WhatsApp or ask Trip.com customer service. The accommodation has three gates and keys, the gate of the building, the gate of the unit, and the door of the room. The location of the room is convenient, there is a subway station in a few minutes, you can also walk to the Vatican attractions, and there are two supermarkets nearby. But the sound of the air conditioner and the water tank is very loud, because the room is very close to the bar on the ground floor on the second floor, and there will be noisy sounds at night. If people who are sensitive to sound are not recommended to stay. The room has air conditioning, separate bathroom, kettle cup, refrigerator and hair dryer. Air conditioning is very good in hot weather!

GGuest UserThe location is spot on! It’s not far to walk to anywhere from this hotel, there are many cafes and restaurants around so easy to find a lovely evening meal. The breakfast was simple but I enjoy that. There was fruit, eggs, pastries, bread, coffee and juice laid out each morning. The room is very basic and small. I understand that the pictures online and the rooms can vary, but this was very different to what we thought we had booked online. The balcony is very small and just a simple view of the nearby roofs. But the bed was extremely comfortable, I had a great nights sleep every night. The reception staff were helpful with everything and gave us great advise about travelling around Rome. This was a great place to stay if you’re only using to the room sleep.
