My stay at the Novotel Living Dalian Zhongshan Square with my little one was a fantastic surprise! The location is unbeatable; it's right next to Zhongshan Square with subway access right outside, making it super convenient for exploring and dining. The room was set up like an apartment, offering plenty of space and a full kitchen, which was a huge plus for heating up baby food. What really stood out was how thoughtful the hotel was towards kids. During check-in, they proactively offered two sets of building blocks, which my child absolutely loved and kept them happily occupied, significantly reducing any fussing. The entire room was spotless, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views, and the soundproofing was excellent – my child's nap went undisturbed. The gym and self-service laundry room were incredibly practical, and the 24-hour front desk staff were gentle and patient, responding to any issues super fast. Combining hotel service with the comfort of home, it's definitely my top choice for family travel. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Dalian!

Excellent customer service from arrival to check out. Staff were prepared & expecting my check in. They able to identify me and greeted me warmly. Registration was efficient and quick. I was escorted to my rooms with my luggage assisted by a male staff(姓谷). Throughout my 7 nights stay, he always greeted me w a smile and unfailingly polite whether at reception lobby or at breakfast( helping me get my coffee and recommending additionals) In fact, all the staff were always courteous when I passed them, giving me directions when approached, offering an umbrella when it was raining on my way out & thus making me feel welcome in Dalian. The location is right in the heart of Kaifaqu shopping zone and all within walking distance. I love the 2nd floor lobby layout with free beverages, comfy seats and even a long informal conference table seatings for impromptu meetings. Attractively arranged fruit platters delivered daily to my room always made me smile upon my return and made my day. I would definitely choose Orange Hotel if I return to Dalian.

The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the Bluetooth speaker was a nice touch, making shower time incredibly relaxing. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and very responsive. Check-in and check-out were handled efficiently. The breakfast buffet offered a rich variety of options, both Chinese and Western, and everything was nutritious and delicious. Overall, it offered great value for money, with attention to detail and a refined, quiet environment. It's perfect for both business and leisure travelers. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Dalian!

I chose this Atour hotel for a short weekend getaway to Dalian, and it made everything so easy. It has its own free parking, so I didn't have to look around for a spot. The lobby's book bar has a quiet atmosphere, perfect for sitting down with a book and resting your feet after exploring. The room's blackout curtains were excellent, allowing me to catch up on sleep during the day without being disturbed by light. The toiletries had a light, pleasant scent that wasn't overpowering. Overall, the hotel was simple and comfortable, and the service wasn't overly chatty, which made for a very relaxed stay.

I really appreciate the thoughtful service at Orange Hotel, especially from Xiaoqi and Xiaoyu who were excellent. The hotel itself is set in a peaceful and quiet environment, and the common areas are clean and bright. All the in-room amenities are complete, well-maintained, and easy to use. The cleanliness is impeccable, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. It seems I also met the 'top dog' of Dalian Station! Every day when I left, I'd see this big yellow dog wandering around, visiting different places. He'd lie down wherever he pleased—in tunnels, on delivery drivers' scooters, in front of shops—there was nowhere he wouldn't go.

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

My family and I had a great stay! The front desk staff were really friendly and efficient, and even thoughtfully told us the best spot to watch the Donggang Musical Fountain. There are lots of local eateries nearby, and it's super close to the shopping mall. Plus, they have lockers which are really convenient and secure.

This was my second time choosing this hotel for a layover because it's close to the airport. Last year's stay was great, the price was reasonable, and the receptionist was very friendly and attentive. This year, I booked a standard double room. When I arrived, the receptionist said the window was an interior view window facing the corridor. Since I need a window in my room, I asked how much an exterior view window would cost. I think booking directly through Ctrip usually costs an extra 40+ RMB. Of course, I didn't expect the hotel to upgrade for free, so I asked the receptionist how much extra it would cost. She looked at the computer screen with a calculating expression and said, ”Add 99 RMB.” I said, ”Oh? Isn't it only 40+ RMB?” Then they asked for my ID. I didn't say whether I needed it or not. Seeing that I didn't react, they didn't look at me, still looking at the screen, and said, ”Okay, here's 49 RMB.” I said, ”No need. The original room is fine.” This is supposed to be a proper hotel, but upgrading a room is like a free market? The TV remote was covered in a thick layer of dust, probably because it wasn't used often and the staff hadn't cleaned it properly. I pressed a button and the TV turned on, but then the remote stopped working. I opened the back cover and saw that the batteries were chewed up and bent out of shape – I wonder how long ago it was? Was it a previous guest or a staff member? My flight was at 7:30 the next day, so I asked the front desk for a 5:00 wake-up call. The receptionist was very responsible. The hotel doesn't offer airport shuttle service before 7:00, so I hailed a taxi outside the hotel. It was easy to get a taxi.

I originally booked a king-size bed room without windows, but when I checked in, the front desk lady upgraded me to a family room for free. It has an extra-large double bed and a single bed. The room is large and well decorated. It is very close to Xi'an Road subway station. The price/performance ratio is great. I will stay here again next time. I highly recommend it.
