Amazing
GGuest UserThe first thing I'll write about Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae is the good location. It's right next to Aobadori Station, but there is only a stairway down. An elevator is located not too far away, and I'll get to that in the last part of this review. The lobby of the hotel has a nice ambience, and the hotel offers one complimentary drink and a complimentary bowl of soba noodles. Since the majority of hotel guests take advantage of these offers, the lobby and bar can be crowded during both day and night (until 22:00). The staff whom I interacted with, especially the young lady upon check-in, were all very friendly and helpful. Water coolers are available on each floor next to the elevators, so if it's late at night and you're out of water, you don't have to go far. This is a good service by the hotel. I really like the fact that from the ground level, you can take the elevator directly up to your room floor, bypassing the usually busy and crowded lobby. When it comes to sound insulation between rooms, unfortunately this was not too good. I was able to hear my neighbours banging their limbs, suitcases, clothes hangers etc. against the walls. I didn't really hear talking, but that's probably because my neighbours were Japanese and talked to each other in low tones (non-Japanese people should emulate this). As for noise from the streets, my room faced another building (which was what I requested), so I didn't hear much traffic noise. The shower temperature in my first room fluctuated badly. It would be hot for about 30 seconds, then it turned cold for a minute, then hot again for 15 seconds, then cold again for a long time. The hotel staff helped me switch to a different room, and the shower temperature in the second room was fine. The furniture in the rooms are a bit old, but that's not a big issue. The fridges on the other hand are too small and not cold, the hotel should purchase larger and better units. A nitpick of mine is having to use the television to choose the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the cleaners. I'd much rather a switch next to the door, or the traditional sign to hang on the doorknob. I did not have breakfast at the hotel nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those services. Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others. I hope that in the future the sound insulation between rooms can be vastly improved, and that the hotel can provide physical 'Do Not Disturb' signs or switches. Side note: If you have large luggage and need an elevator, you have to walk south just a little along Atagokamisugi-dori, and soon you'll see an elevator to the underground station. When you get into this elevator, get to the lowest level, and when walking to Sendai station via the underground passage, there is another elevator in an oddly-angled corner. GgoldkidJust a five-minute walk from Sendai Station, this hotel boasts charming, traditional architecture. The top-floor public bath is particularly amazing, and the breakfast offers a great variety. I absolutely recommend it and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Sendai.

YYiqiqulvxingyzThe room facilities are complete, and it's not cold indoors even in winter. The front desk service is professional. The hotel's location is excellent, super close to Sendai Station for the Shinkansen, and very convenient for transportation, shopping, and dining in the surrounding area.

ZzhglongThis was my second stay at this hotel. Coincidentally, it was during a Japanese long weekend, and the room rate for two nights skyrocketed from over 800 to nearly 1500 yuan. The bed also downsized from 1.6m to 1.4m. My experience declined, but that's not the hotel's fault, it's my wallet's fault.

OOliveycWe came to Akiu mainly to see Lu Xun's former residence, but the hotel itself was also great. Although there wasn't much of a view outside the window, Akiu Great Falls is just a short drive away. The front desk gave me a room on the top floor. The food, especially, deserves a special mention. My boyfriend ate 6 plates of the freshly grilled beef tongue, but he was still outdone by the Japanese gentleman next to us – I counted, he had 7 plates! I won't post other pictures as I see everyone else has posted plenty; I'll just share one of the massage chair. You can enjoy the view while getting a massage. It's very quiet during the day, and you can use it as much as you like without needing coins, which is much more generous than many other hotels. The parking lot is also spacious, so there's no need to worry about not finding a spot if you return late.

GGuest UserJust a few minutes' walk from Hirose-dori subway station, the hotel's location is extremely convenient, surrounded by numerous dining options. Having a convenience store on the ground floor is also a reassuring plus. We stayed in a moderate non-smoking room for two. While the queen-sized bed was comfortable, it felt a bit cramped for two, though it would likely feel quite spacious for a solo traveler. The mattress firmness was just right, and the air purifier was a welcome amenity. The bath area was nicely separated from the toilet, preventing any concerns about water splashing out, and the rain shower was a pleasant feature. The front desk staff were friendly and left a positive impression. One minor point is that the air conditioning throughout the hotel, including the lobby and hallways, felt a bit too strong. The complimentary coffee service in the lobby was a nice touch, but it was a shame that it couldn't be taken back to the room. Overall, it's a clean hotel with excellent service, and we left feeling very satisfied.

SSKLoveTravelThis is a very large onsen ryokan. There's a free shuttle bus from Sendai Station directly to the hotel, but you need to book it in advance. The buffet dinner features king crab legs and made-to-order sushi, and the breakfast is also very good. If you don't use the shuttle, it's just a three-minute walk to the bus stop for a ride back to Sendai.

GGuest UserThe staff were incredibly attentive. The breakfast was fantastic, and the room was so quiet with excellent natural light. The large bathroom was a real plus – very comfortable! Thank you. I'd love to come back and stay for a few more days next time. The location is super convenient, right next to Sendai Station.

YYongchuangtianyahahahaThis hotel is a 10-minute walk from Sendai Station, with four or five convenience stores nearby. It's also very close to the Sendai Morning Market, and there's a free observation deck on the 30th floor of the building next door. Right outside the hotel, you'll find a wide variety of restaurants, including ramen shops, Chinese restaurants, and Japanese diners. The lobby has a style reminiscent of the early 20th century, and the rooms are very well-maintained and feel new. The bathtub is large, and a particularly great feature is how fresh the air in the room feels; you won't feel stuffy even after spending a long time there. The windows on the 8th floor can also be opened. The only minor drawback is that the room lighting is a bit too bright and not very soft. Both the mattress and pillows are very comfortable, and the front desk staff are highly professional. The beverage vending machine prices are also cheaper than what you'd typically find at other hotels.
