To give some context, I was in Bangkok for a medical trip and was mainly looking for a hotel that was convenient in terms of location, with easy access to food and shops. Grand Hyatt Erawan delivered on all fronts. It’s perfectly located, and everything I needed was within reach.

To give some context, I was in Bangkok for a medical trip and was mainly looking for a hotel that was convenient in terms of location, with easy access to food and shops. Grand Hyatt Erawan delivered on all fronts. It’s perfectly located, and everything I needed was within reach.
Because of its central location, the hotel is bustling and lively – almost every room seemed occupied during my stay. While it may not be the quiet, secluded kind of 5-star hotel some might prefer, I personally loved the energy. The constant flow of guests and families made me feel safe and never alone, even when walking through the corridors late at night.
The breakfast buffet was a highlight – delicious and thoughtfully curated. I really appreciated that the chefs came out to greet guests and ask for feedback. It made the whole experience feel warm and communal, like everyone belonged there.
Service was also impeccable. The staff were responsive and attentive, and housekeeping was fast and efficient. I also loved that the ”Privacy Please” feature was connected to the front desk – the moment I deactivated it, my laundry was delivered right away. Little touches like this made a big difference.
Although I didn’t get to try the spa, pool, or gym myself, my partner did and raved about it every morning.
If I had to mention one downside, it would be the traffic – which is expected given the central location. Just make sure to plan your travel time, especially during peak hours.
All in all, I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. I’ll definitely be back for my next visit. Thank you again for such a memorable stay!

EE HuangI can’t stop staying here! Yes, there are many new hotels popping up everywhere in Bkk, but this is still my favourite family hotel. Location is convenient and despite of wet weather, i am sheltered to everywhere up to Chit Lom. No complaints. Also, even though I didn’t get my super king bed this time round, they made up a sofa bed for my son. So i am absolutely pleased with their service and I will be back for sure

553588The bathroom door wouldn't open or close properly. I had to call someone in the middle of the night, but they were quite responsible and fixed it quickly. I initially thought it was a new hotel from 2023, but it turned out to be a renovation. Everything was pretty standard, nothing particularly outstanding or terrible. I didn't see any other Chinese guests, mostly Westerners, Koreans, and Japanese. The gym and pool were OK. The fresh squeezed juice at breakfast was a highlight, I really loved it. The rest of breakfast was just average.
As for the location, there's not much to say; it's similar to the Westin and Hyatt nearby. I didn't like that Terminal 21 was a bit chaotic.
Things I liked: Many spas on Friday, definitely worth trying, all within walking distance. There's an open-air restaurant downstairs with wooden chairs and tables that you absolutely must try (turn right after going downstairs, it's about 50 meters down the street). It's super delicious, excellent value for money, and has a great atmosphere; it's always packed! Overall, the location is a definite highlight! Much more convenient than the Central World area.
Thai hotel staff are always very friendly, and the service at this hotel was also OK. I always ask the doorman downstairs to call a taxi for me, which is very convenient (Grab can be expensive for short distances). Of course, I always tip, as they still have to communicate with the driver. This service is excellent and very reassuring.

HHappy _CherryWe absolutely love this hotel for amazing design, calmness and comfortable rooms. If you search for night entertainment, there is a night market with a lot bars. Stayed there 2nd time. But this time there is some weirdness happened on the check out. Breakfast starts at 6 am and we had only 15 min to eat and call a taxi. They didn’t let me in because it was 5:58, said I came early. And on check out appeared we left one of the room access cards in electricity slot. The guy on reception was insisting I have it and husband was keeping on saying it is in the room. They didn’t believe! Our room was on the 17th floor, so they made husband wait until someone went and confirmed the key was there. And all of this in the 15 min we need to eat and leave. Why? What are we gonna do with that card returning home to our country????

The location is lovely, mix of local and expat. You have fruit seller in front of the alley and coffee shops are easy to find. It's very lay back quartier.

TTuan HadiSomerset Sukhumvit 71 is a well-maintained property with a modern and clean design. The building and common areas are kept in excellent condition, giving a fresh and comfortable feel. The rooms are minimalist, spacious, and properly maintained, offering a cozy and stylish stay.
The facilities are excellent – the swimming pool is clean and relaxing, the gym is well-equipped, and the breakfast/lunch bar provides a good variety of food in a pleasant setting. Staff are professional, friendly, and communicate well in English, making the service smooth and welcoming.
In terms of location, it is a little less convenient as it is quite far from public transport. However, it’s easy to get a Grab or Bolt for transport. On the positive side, there are Muslim street shops nearby, which is a plus for guests looking for halal food options.

Rooms either face a main road or a Soi. My room was at the Soi side which hardly had any traffic noise.
The lead room was big by any standards. The design feels like home. Well appointed with all that you possibly might need. Huge and comfortable bed with nice plushy pillows! Would suggest to change the TV mount to the extensible and swivel kind.
Toilet is separate from the bathroom. Bathroom has separate tub/jacuzzi and standing area with wall fixed shower head. Good water pressure and adjustable temperature.
Breakfast is at first floor restaurant. Selection from different menu sets and good quantity. If hotel operating budget allows, would suggest to add a fruit selection as a complimentary add on.
There are a small pool besides breakfast area and also a small gym.
The staff - front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, technician - have all been on point and friendly all the time!
There are sign of age here and there but not the kind that irritates. Looking forward to the next refurbishment!

RRattanawadee Na ButjomI only stayed for one night during my transit ✈️, but it was a very pleasant experience. The bed was soft and comfortable 🛏️, which made it perfect for a good rest after a long flight 😴. The room was clean 🧼 and the view from my window was beautiful 🌆.
Although I didn’t get to try the food or other facilities 🍽️, I would say this hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable short stay ✅

KKaiBergWe have stayed here many times before. It is our go-to place for stays in bangkok. The rooms are big, clean, and comfortable. The amenities are great and include a pool and gym. the breakfast is good. the location is not too far from major shopping and sightseeing attractions. The metro isn't far away. The rooms with balconies are the best. The only issue I had with this stay were as follows.
1) The AC was stuck on maximum power so it was either too cold with it on or too hot with it off. It was also really loud when it was on.
2) The cap on the conditioner bottle was too loose causing the ceramic bottle to drop when I picked it up. We had to have a housekeeper clean up the broken ceramic in the bathroom.
These were small issues and overall I would still highly recommend this hotel for its service attitude, facilities, cleanliness, and location.

AAnonymous UserGreat service from the night clerk Dee. Original room booked wasn’t as expected, was able to change to a suite. Was helpful, accomodating and welcoming despite a midnight check in. Informed hotel is going under renovations, and is a bit outdated. Serviced the purpose, good bedding and aircon. Be mindful there is a bit of noise, so be mindful if that’s an issue on lower floors. Close to river ferry for transport, take advantage of the short walk. I didn’t opt into breakfast.
