Hotels in Guanqian Street/Pingjiang Street, Suzhou

I've stayed at Andu before and really loved its location right by the food street. The accommodation experience was also great, which is why I came back this time. Before arriving, I wanted to check the breakfast information. I noticed several platforms didn't describe it much, so I'll write about it now~ If you book Andu through Ctrip, you can use points to redeem for breakfast. I redeemed one day's worth this time. There's a good variety, and the taste is actually very good. Several of the hot dishes were delicious, unlike some hotels where they just put out whatever. In particular, the coffee tasted excellent; the beans weren't acidic, which I prefer. The room was also very clean, and the separate wet and dry areas were very convenient!

The guesthouse is located next to Pingjiang Road, separated only by a river. You can easily walk around in either direction after crossing the bridge; it's very close. There are many famous restaurants nearby, and attractions are also within easy reach. We extended our stay for another day. It was very quiet at night. The guesthouse rooms were spacious and had separate wet and dry areas. Parking is required by car from the hospital, which is over 500 meters away, but the guesthouse reimbursed the parking fees.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location. UniPark is nearby, offering plenty of dining options. You can easily walk or take public transport directly to Shiquan Street for a pleasant city walk. Both bus stops and subway stations are conveniently close, and getting to Jinji Lake by metro is also very convenient. Suzhou University (Suda) is in the vicinity, making it a great option for families with high school-aged children. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They proactively called us beforehand to provide important travel tips. Any requests we had were promptly addressed. Upon check-out, they even thoughtfully prepared cooling patches for the children and provided complimentary drinking water.

This was my first experience with a B&B, and it exceeded all my expectations! Though Gusu Courtyard isn't large, it's exquisitely designed and incredibly well-appointed – truly a case of 'small but perfectly formed'. Even before I arrived, the host proactively called me with thoughtful details on where to alight and how to navigate the alleyways to the property. The service was impeccable from the very beginning. Stepping inside, I immediately felt a world away from the bustling Pingjiang Road. The courtyard, enveloped by lush greenery, flowers, and fish in the pond, instantly isolated the city's hustle, creating a serene and pleasant atmosphere. Although the entire B&B only has nine rooms, the soundproofing was excellent. I barely heard any other guests, making it feel like we had the peaceful courtyard all to ourselves. The design was another constant delight. Every corner revealed thoughtful effort and aesthetic beauty, with details subtly showcasing the gentle charm and ingenuity of Jiangnan style. The breakfast, presented in a delightful multi-compartment box, was both delicious and visually appealing – a perfect start to the day. The host's service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, making us feel genuinely at home and warmly welcomed. If I could, I would happily stay here for half a year! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil sanctuary in Suzhou.

I'm so glad I booked this amazing hotel! The location is absolutely fantastic – it's incredibly close to Pingjiang Road and Chang Street, just a 5-minute walk away. Plus, there's a great craft beer bar only two minutes on foot. I genuinely love this hotel so much that I would definitely return to Suzhou just to stay here again. Our room was also perfect: very spacious and spotlessly clean. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly. They even went the extra mile, reminding us to take an umbrella when it rained and kindly lending us one.

This is, by far, the best hotel experience I've had. First, the location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of Suzhou, next to tourist attractions. The subway station is directly across the street, and it's only one stop from Suzhou Railway Station. Dining is also very convenient, with several local Suzhou specialty snack shops right outside. There's even an e-bike rental shop downstairs, and I relied on an e-bike for my entire trip – super convenient! Second, the room itself, while not newly renovated, had a great layout with floor-to-ceiling windows, lovely street views, a large bathtub, a smart toilet, and a bed designed like a hanging bed, which added a nice touch and ambiance. The common areas outside were also very well-maintained and comfortable, but unfortunately, my itinerary was too tight to spend time there. Finally, the service was truly exceptional. The front desk staff were incredibly satisfying; they even called and added me on WeChat before I even landed in Suzhou, and all communication was handled through WeChat. They helped pick up my takeout for all three meals and delivered it to my room door, assisted with luggage up and down the stairs, and brought anything I needed straight to my room with just a request. These may seem like small things, but they made for an incredibly positive and heartwarming experience. It felt much more personal than simply having a robot deliver food. All in all, it was a very satisfying stay.

The staff upgraded us to a better room when we arrived early as our booked room was not yet available. Nice of them. Fantastic and modern hotel with all required amenities and great location. Service by all staff was excellent, they even invited us to be friends with them on WeChat so that we can ask them any questions including recommendations on food. Gave us good recommendations. When i lamented the lack of coffee, the staff immediately gave me 2 bottles of Starbucks coffee! For each day, they gave us additional bottled water for us for our day's outing. Only downside is that there is only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer which is understandable as it is a boutique hotel. The voice controls work only in Mandarin even though there was an English option.

Fantastic hotel - immediately greeted by lovely and warm hosts who let me in for an early check in, super clean (the bathroom even smelt great), thoughtful amenities, and great location nearby 2 metro lines. The bed was very comfortable with different pillow options. Definitely worth the price - I wish I had stayed longer.

The room was exceptionally clean, and the traditional garden-style architecture was truly captivating. Our duplex room was impressively spacious with plenty of room to relax, and the beds were neatly made. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. The drinks offered here are delicious and very reasonably priced! Plus, they can be delivered right to your room, which was incredibly convenient. It was quite hot during our stay, so we especially appreciated the complimentary sour plum juice and mint water provided to guests – a truly thoughtful touch that made our experience superb. We even asked the owner for ice cups for our cocktails, which she happily provided – fantastic service! The guesthouse is conveniently located by the road, close to various attractions and convenience stores. On either side, you'll find authentic local eateries serving delicious snacks like Shengjian for breakfast. Both the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum are just a five-minute walk away. It was perfect to be able to retreat to the comfort of our room for a break when the afternoon heat became too much.

The hotel's location is quite good, very close to Pingjiang Road Pedestrian Street. The environment is elegant, and the service is very attentive. They upgraded my room, and the staff member who helped me even personally carried my luggage to the room upstairs; he was very enthusiastic. The front desk, restaurant, and cleaning staff were all very welcoming and polite. The room was quite spacious and very quiet, and the air conditioning was strong. The breakfast spread was extensive, a mix of Chinese and Western dishes. For lunch and dinner, you can eat at the Muxiang Restaurant diagonally across from the hotel, where they also have Pingtang performances.
