"Overall, very good. From the window, you get a distant view of the 'Big Trousers' skyscraper (a local nickname for Suzhou IFS), while looking down reveals charming Jiangnan alleys. The location, right on Pingjiang Road, is steeped in history. A thoughtful touch was the Suzhou travel books provided in the room. Just be aware: it's a three or four-story building with no elevator."

"The room was great, with two large beds, perfectly accommodating our group of three adults and two children. The kids absolutely loved the room! The only minor drawback was that due to its spaciousness, it took quite a while for the air conditioning to cool down. However, the evening temperature was just right for someone like me who tends to feel the cold.
The hotel's location, transportation access, and service were all excellent. The young front desk staff, both male and female, were incredibly warm and enthusiastic. We even found out one of them was from our hometown – recognized their accent immediately!
We stayed for three nights while exploring Suzhou for three days, and overall, it was a delightful experience. I truly loved Suzhou and hope to revisit, perhaps after I retire!"

The entire place is clean, hygienic, and elegantly furnished. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit because it's so incredibly convenient. "The room was exceptionally clean, and the traditional garden-style architecture was truly captivating. Our duplex room was impressively spacious with plenty of room to relax, and the beds were neatly made.
The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. The drinks offered here are delicious and very reasonably priced! Plus, they can be delivered right to your room, which was incredibly convenient. It was quite hot during our stay, so we especially appreciated the complimentary sour plum juice and mint water provided to guests – a truly thoughtful touch that made our experience superb. We even asked the owner for ice cups for our cocktails, which she happily provided – fantastic service!
The guesthouse is conveniently located by the road, close to various attractions and convenience stores. On either side, you'll find authentic local eateries serving delicious snacks like Shengjian for breakfast. Both the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum are just a five-minute walk away. It was perfect to be able to retreat to the comfort of our room for a break when the afternoon heat became too much."

"We understand that this is a newly opened hotel and perhaps they had never hosted foreign guests with a special visa (non-tourist visa) before. However, we had a very unpleasant experience. Around midnight, the staff nearly forced us to leave the hotel, assuming that we had overstayed simply because our entry date into China was more than 30 days ago.
We are two women traveling together, and being almost kicked out of the hotel in the middle of the night was extremely stressful and unsafe.
On the positive side, the location is convenient — only a 7-minute walk to the famous Shantang Road.
Tips for future guests: the hot tub is on the outdoor terrace, but since the weather is still warm and there are many mosquitoes, it’s not really enjoyable. Overall, it was not worth the money."

"My stay at Anshe Hotel was fantastic! The location is incredibly convenient, just a 2-minute walk to the subway station. This made it super easy to explore Pingjiang Road and Guanqian Street for food and shopping, and also to visit iconic spots like the Suzhou Museum and the Humble Administrator's Garden. The service was exceptionally thoughtful. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they were always proactive in helping us with any issues. The complimentary water and fan upon departure was a lovely and warm touch. The hotel boasts a beautiful Suzhou-style garden aesthetic, with tranquil water features and lush greenery. Our room was spotless, featuring smart voice control for lighting and curtains, a 100-inch projector, and a pressure-relieving mattress, providing both comfort and a modern, high-tech feel. Complimentary minibar drinks and the option to have the AC turned on before arrival show a great attention to detail. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Suzhou!"

"The room was spacious, and the tatami was wonderful. It was perfect for sipping tea while sitting on the tatami and looking out the window at Pingjiang Road. The view was stunning. The front desk staff was very friendly, responsive, and welcoming. The hotel is centrally located, just a few dozen meters downstairs from Pingjiang Road, making it very convenient. There are many attractions nearby, including the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and the China Kunqu Opera Museum, all within easy walking distance. Downstairs is a street offering convenient shopping and dining options, with cheongsam-style shops and traditional Suzhou cuisine everywhere. In short, the location is perfect for everything! I'll be back next time.

"For my trip to Suzhou, I chose the Crowne Plaza after seeing many recommendations online. It definitely lived up to its online reputation; the lake view was absolutely stunning. Upon entering the lobby, you're immediately greeted by a panoramic and absolutely gorgeous lake view. The hotel's decor is also very grand and impressive. Its overall architecture, resembling a cruise ship, is truly unique. What's particularly worth praising is the hotel's breakfast. The restaurant is very spacious and located right by the lake, offering fantastic views. Plus, the breakfast spread is incredibly rich and diverse, with so many options to choose from. The complimentary travel photoshoot from 'Seven Degrees' (七度旅拍) offered by the hotel was a pleasant surprise and quite good. The photographer was very dedicated and professional, and I was also very pleased with how the photos turned out. Highly recommended!"

I particularly like the location because it is within walking distance from the Kunshan Culture and Art Center. It is so convenient to watch performances from Shanghai, especially when there are some popular performances that cannot be bought in Shanghai. The curve saves the country and the price-performance ratio is unparalleled.

We arrived in the afternoon and easily explored it that same evening. To the right, Guanqian Street offers plenty of snack options. The front desk staff were also very helpful, recommending restaurants and providing a tourist guide. Our room was very clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

WWGZ TanOur recent two-night stay at the Suzhou Kimpton Bamboo Grove Hotel exceeded all expectations, creating a memorable experience that exemplifies luxury hospitality at its finest.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by their adorable canine ambassador, Kylie the Labrador, setting the tone for the warm hospitality to follow. The check-in service was remarkably efficient, with special recognition to Rainbow who ensured our party of three couples, including elderly parents, received accessible room upgrades. The staff's attentiveness was evident throughout our stay—they greeted us in corridors, anticipated our needs, and maintained a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness.
The rooms were impeccable, featuring premium bedding, turndown service, and high-end amenities including Dyson hair dryers. The quality of in-room offerings far surpassed what one would typically expect from a hotel at this price, demonstrating their commitment to excellence down to the smallest detail.
The property beautifully integrates historical courtyards and buildings, creating tranquil outdoor spaces perfect for relaxation. Bar 168 became our favorite evening gathering spot for social hour and drinks, offering the perfect atmosphere to unwind after exploring the city. We were there during a heat wave and were perfectly contented to not leave the hotel at all.
Breakfast was truly an event worth anticipating each morning at their black pearl rated restaurant. The diverse selection included both Western and Chinese cuisine, with standout features being the made-to-order noodles, wonton, and egg station. We particularly appreciated how staff consistently offered tea or coffee upon arrival, ensuring we always had a warm beverage to enjoy with our meal.
The hotel's strategic location offers unparalleled convenience—situated directly above an MRT station and adjacent to a modern shopping area. For those seeking cultural experiences, a short 15-minute walk leads to the historical tourist district, making this property perfect for first-time visitors to Suzhou through winding neighbourhood streets.
We extend our gratitude to Cherry for a smooth checkout process, and even the hotel's merchandise—particularly the keychains—provided charming mementos of our stay.

GGuest UserNow, I can sit here and tell you that we’re staying in an eco-friendly hotel that even though you’re inside its high glass windows gives you an outdoor vibe. I can even sit and talk about the saline pool, its state-of-the-art gym and list all the amenities; and I can even talk about the number of rooms and the fact that as we speak there’s an international summit going on here.
Somehow that won’t speak about my experience here at this hotel. Elements (by Westin) Suzhou Science & Technology Town does have all of the above BUT what I love about this hotel is its Staff. I love the fact that they seem to be always be here. I somehow believe that they live onsite because they’re always around.
In the morning, even before I enter the Salon I hear, “Nǐ hǎo Marsha” from the Breakfast Host, followed up by the nice lady in the Salon, smiling at me and ushering me to the coffee machine, while handing me my 2 brown sugar packs. She knows my morning habits so quickly. Not only that, because they knew Peter was missing from my breakfast table for a few mornings, they now signal to me with take away containers for Peter, to have his breakfast in the room.
When we need to go anywhere the young ladies at the Front Desk (no matter which Shift) are always either asking us where we need to go so that they can call a CASH taxi to get us to our destination. One of them even came with me one day to the Bank of China’s ATM and sat in the taxi while I went in and conducted my business and accompanied me to the Campus to visit Jon-Marc. Yesterday, one of them even used her own Didi account to get us transportation back to the hotel and we reimbursed her (and walked away while she was trying to give us back our change because we knew she wouldn’t have taken the Tip as is their custom). How else could we have shown her how grateful we were for her kind gesture?
Then there is Simon Jiang, the General Manager, who speaks perfect English and is always there to assist and offer suggestions of things to do and places to go. Simon was the one who actually explained to me that you can’t just walk into a pharmacy and get anything without a prescription. What I can tell you is that even though he is the GM he is always on hand assisting the staff with their work. Even though there is a clear hierarchy here, he takes off his jacket and assists in the kitchen, you can sometimes see him helping the older ladies bring out the heavy equipment (if needed) when they’re cleaning the floors, clear tables, etc.
Or Alex Ju, the Assistant General Manager, who accompanied Peter and I to the hospital and stayed and spoke with the doctor and the international insurance department on our behalf (in Mandarin) to make everything a little easier for us.
These people are the ones who have made my stay here memorable and I can honestly say that its because of them that I would recommend Elements by Westin in Suzhou to ANYONE who wanted a place to stay without hassle and with a host of helpful, courteous, friendly staff. It has been my pleasure having encountered such warm, friendly, delightful and gentle human beings.

WwindhunterWe stayed at Artyzen Habitat Suzhou and overall, we were very pleased. The location is excellent — convenient for getting to major attractions. The interior design is absolutely stunning — modern, stylish, and tasteful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything you might need. Breakfast was also a highlight — delicious, varied, and made with quality ingredients.
However, unfortunately, the service was a major letdown. For a hotel positioned as 5-star, the service was, frankly, far below expectations — even by 3-star standards, it would be considered poor.
When we arrived, no one greeted me at the entrance, and no help was offered with my luggage — I had to pull a heavy suitcase out of the taxi myself. Things got even more surprising: I had to walk around the hotel looking for staff to check in, because at 9 PM there was no one at the reception desk.
At check-out, the same story repeated itself — no assistance with luggage, no farewell.
The hotel is genuinely beautiful and comfortable, but the level of service does not match the advertised standard. I hope management takes note of this, because the hotel truly has great potential.

EEthanl889Facilities: The room amenities were quite good, and the location right on Pingjiang Road is a definite plus. However, it's rather inconvenient if you're traveling with family or have a lot of luggage, as you'll have to carry your bags for about 200 meters after getting dropped off.
Service: As for service, there was practically none. The front desk staff were unenthusiastic and seemed to be just going through the motions, perhaps because they were just employees. ZZhuge～qingyunFacilities: The air conditioning and heating are very good, and the electronic lock door is very convenient to enter and exit
Hygiene: The room is clean and tidy
Environment: Very close to the scenic area, just a few steps to Zhang Hall and Shen Hall
Service: The front desk clerk was warm and thoughtful and helped me heat up the packed meals
The overall experience is very good, I will stay here next time
