I initially booked a highly-rated B&B, but when I went to see the room, I was absolutely appalled. It was so filthy I couldn't even bring myself to step inside. I immediately canceled my reservation, and they even asked me why! I genuinely advise everyone against casually booking B&Bs, especially those in city centers.
Later, I switched to the Home Inn. To my surprise, it even had a small courtyard, a hidden gem right in the bustling city center. The lobby was very welcoming, offering coffee, lemonade, and black tea, and it was all very clean. We stayed in a twin room. The room was quite spacious, and it was very quiet at night. The staff were also very professional.
To sum it up, it truly met the standards of a professional hotel. If you're coming to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Grand Tang Mall, I highly recommend this place.

The location is fantastic, very close to Xi'an's Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and we even walked over to Datang Everbright City twice! The room itself was decent. I booked it through Trip.com, which advertised it as being either 300 or 700 meters from the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda (I can't quite recall the exact distance). However, after exiting the subway station, it took us a good half hour to walk there, possibly even longer. I was wrangling two kids, and they were completely wiped out. Halfway there, I encountered another parent with an even younger child, who was also grumbling and complaining the entire way. You can imagine how frustrating that was! It was genuinely too far and difficult to locate. Many shops in the vicinity were boarded up, and the area felt quite desolate with rough pathways, making for a very poor experience overall. Not recommended, especially for families traveling with elderly members or young children.
