When visiting Hongcun, I chose this guesthouse, and it was an excellent choice! Its location is superb, right by the Moon Pond, which is a core scenic spot. It's an old house with a lot of historical architectural elements preserved. My room was on the first floor and offered a lovely view of the small courtyard. The young couple who own the place were incredibly attentive. They explained everything clearly, helped with our luggage, and even offered pick-up and drop-off services at the bus station. For seniors, a day of sightseeing here is definitely enough, and we even caught the fish lantern performance in the evening.

This hotel boasts an excellent location right in the heart of Hongcun. The rooms are clean, tidy, and feature very new amenities, including a full set of toiletries. The interior design is modern, yet the exterior maintains a traditional Chinese style, offering a comfortable blend of East and West. For its location in Hongcun, Anhui, the facilities are truly top-notch. The breakfast is well-designed and features a very traditional Chinese spread: congee, salted duck eggs, small siomai, mini steamed buns, steamed sweet potatoes, corn, side dishes, boiled eggs, and fruit. It's both nutritious and filling. The overall hotel service is also very good. My only observation is that the front desk staff likely don't speak English, which might pose a communication challenge for foreign guests. However, for domestic travelers, this is completely a non-issue. The small garden outside the breakfast area offers lovely views.

Before check-in, the owner told me they'd arranged a shuttle service from the nearest car park. The guesthouse itself is super close to the main street, and the courtyard is beautifully decorated. They even offer free Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for guests to borrow! The rainy weather gave Hongcun a really atmospheric feel, and I even encountered a cute little cat on the way.

Outside, you're enveloped in the traditional charm of Huizhou architecture and the serene beauty of the courtyard garden. Inside, enjoy a pure, relaxing, and comfortable living experience. Between the two, you feel a holiday vibe where humanity and nature seamlessly blend. Staying in this village, filled with ancient buildings, makes time seem to slow down. Everywhere you look, there are white walls and bluestone paths… it truly makes you appreciate life. The Chinese light luxury style is immediately apparent. Exquisite flowers and plants adorn the facade, while vintage roof beams and tea sets exude a sense of history. The floor-to-ceiling windows are incredibly bright. A pot of clear tea and a good book are all you need to find solace from the hustle and bustle. There's no one to disturb you, offering a quiet escape amidst activity, allowing time to pass by peacefully. The design is grand yet rustic, leaving a lasting impression.

Traveling with kids, the room was very comfortable and the small courtyard was beautiful. Since we drove, the owner picked us up and dropped us off at the parking lot with a golf cart. The hotel is right next to a big tree, very close to the scenic area entrance, so we could go in and out anytime. It's also super convenient to get to Yuezao and Nanhu. Staying for a night, taking our time to stroll around and see the sights, was really pleasant.

Overnight in Hongcun, half mountain and half water ✔ I booked this hotel while visiting Hongcun. I arrived at the scenic area at 6 PM. The hostess came with a cart to pick up my luggage. The entrance to the B&B is decorated in the Huizhou style. We booked a duplex on a last-minute basis; my friend prefers older buildings. We made do with it for one night. The highlight of this place is the terrace. From the top, you can enjoy the entire Hongcun nightscape. For the price, this hotel is quite good, and I'll also review it on the reviews page.

The cleanliness was impressive! The floors and tables were spotless, and even the window sills were thoroughly cleaned. It felt very comfortable to sleep there. The bathroom was dry and odor-free, making it feel even safer than my own home. The owner was also very helpful, suggesting a travel route that allowed us to avoid the crowds.

The overall atmosphere is very peaceful, not at all like being in a busy scenic area – it’s a wonderful place to slow down and truly rest. The room overlooks a small courtyard filled with flowers and plants, absolutely beautiful and vibrant with spring life. Just a few steps from the back exit, you can reach Moon Pond and the old alleys, making it super convenient for exploring and dining, with a lovely local vibe. The owners are also very warm and welcoming, recommending delicious food and sightseeing routes, and even giving out small gifts. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Hongcun!

It's clean, hygienic, and has an antique charm that makes time feel like it slows down.
