The location is fantastic, directly opening onto the central shopping district. It offers excellent value for money, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The staff provided exceptional service, always accommodating and ready to assist. However, the rooms do not have air conditioning. While Yunnan nights are generally cool, and the hotel kindly provided two fans, those who are sensitive to heat might still find themselves waking up warm. It's something to keep in mind.

Fairyland Shangpin Hotel in Kunming, is a really nice hotel, in a terrific location….. but as the extra bit in title mentions, is in a pedestrian street, therefore if you have a mountain of luggage, or mobility issues, or toddlers & babies to carry, you might want to think twice about booking here or in any other hotel in the pedestrian streets in the neighbourhood. It’s one of the fabulous features of the area, but you do need to be aware that vehicles are not allowed in this area…..  AND …. the only way into the hotel is via a flight of stairs.
My Grab driver from the airport dropped me off where his gps directed him to, but it meant an overly long walk lugging my bag through crowds of tourists on a stinking hot Sunday arv on cobbled streets (obviously not designed when wheeled suitcases were invented!). I discovered the next day that Wuyi Rd subway station is really close to the hotel… less than a 5 minute walk away. Turn left outside the hotel entrance. Turn right at the corner (150m away), and one of the entrances to the subway is just along there on the right. When I looked it up, it turns out it takes half the time to & from the airport as it does by car and costs next to nothing, so I caught it to the airport (just 1 easy transfer along the way), and was really glad I did. It’s a pity the hotel doesn’t include that important info in its listing!
The hotel’s Reception & dining room staff are all super friendly and nice, and my room was really lovely, with a great shower, power points that my Australian hair straightener and phone chargers plugged straight into, and a big window that opens and which overlooks rooftops, alleyways, cafes, high-rises and lots more. There’s also a window beside every lift entrance, so you can all the locals dancing in the public square, which is just fabulous!
There is a laundry for guest use on the same floor as the breakfast room, but every time I checked, both machines were in use, so I wouldn’t count on getting any washing done if you’re only staying for a couple of days.
Loved wandering around the cobbled streets (from right outside the hotel), day & night. Lots to see & do. Lots of colour, lots of people (including all the locals folk dancing together in the square), lots of places to eat, drink and shop nearby. Highly recommend Fairyland Shangpin Hotel to those who are ok with walking (& pulling luggage) over cobblestones, and up & down stairs to and from the hotels entrances (one to the front door, and a second entrance near the lift). It’s worth it! ☺️

This hotel was even better than expected! I initially stayed for two nights upon arriving in Kunming. After returning from Lijiang, I was so impressed that I was determined to stay again. Despite the price having increased a week later due to peak season, I still booked another two nights without hesitation. Cleanliness is my top priority, and this hotel completely met my expectations in that regard. The hotel also boasts a spacious lounge on the second floor, perfect for chatting, working, or reading. There's a gym, and the breakfast was excellent! I particularly loved the thoughtful design details.

Facilities: The equipment is all new and pretty good.
Hygiene: Clean and hygienic, no smell, and the toilet is separated into wet and dry areas.
Environment: There are many restaurants around, and it is convenient to buy things.
Service: The service is thoughtful.

The entrance to the hotel is a little complicated, but it has a hidden atmosphere at the end of a narrow alley. You may get lost on your first visit.
The staff were polite and greeted me with a smile when I checked in. I was able to stay there with peace of mind.
The rooms are clean and unified with modern interiors. They are spacious, comfortable, and have a relaxing space. The quiet environment is also a plus, even though it is close to the station.

This is a beautiful hotel located just a few minutes walk from the station. The first thing that surprised me was the view outside the window. It is possible to have a beautiful bird's-eye view of the city and the mountains in the distance, and the scenery at twilight is very good.
The entrance to a liquor store is quite large, but there are many people who are lost in the narrow and narrow alley. The maze of possible meetings during the first visit.

The entrance to the hotel is a bit complicated, but the hidden atmosphere at the end of the narrow alley is charming. You might get lost on your first visit. room is clean and has a modern interior design. It is spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment. Despite being close to the station, it is still wonderful quiet. I also felt that the cost performance was quite good. I would definitely love to visit this hotel again next time.

The hotel had a great location, and the reception staff was very kind — she even offered us a room with a window since we originally booked one without. The only downside was that the bathroom was transparent (my fault for not checking carefully, especially since I was traveling with a friend hahaha), and the air conditioning didn’t keep us warm at night, even when set to 30°C.

This hotel offers excellent service. The front desk staff are patient, conscientious, and responsible. We booked the standard king-size room, which looked small in the pictures, but it was actually quite nice, with a nice environment. The snack street right outside is fantastic, with lots of local specialties. MixC is just over a kilometer away. The room had a slight odor upon entering, but turning on the air conditioning cleared it up. Also, be careful when taking a taxi here; it seems the taxi platform sometimes redirects you to a different location. This hotel also has a location formerly known as the Tuodong Stadium MixC branch, so be sure to check the address when taking a taxi.

Honestly way too happy with the stay, decided to extend our stay for another 2 nights because the staff is really courteous! The room was in perfect condition, basic facilities & amenities are provided. We checked in pretty late since our flight arrived in KMG around 1AM, and didn’t need to inform the reception counter cause it’s available 24/7. Just be sure to get a good roaming sim card with vpn if you want to access Google, Facebook, IG or tiktok. The hotel is fairly easy to find, and there’s plenty of nearby eateries and convenience stores. The nearest shopping malls and not that far but I suggest you to just hail any taxi to save you time. Oh and, the self laundry rooms are a definite plus! No need to find other launderette haha. During our checkout, the staff was so kind to give us some free goodies to bring home too. I highly HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a stay.

The infrastructure is OK, the hygiene is OK, the environment is OK, the room size is slightly small, the front desk service is good and very enthusiastic, and it is relatively quiet at night. The lighting is good during the day, but a little dim at night. It is not suitable for office work, but suitable for rest and entertainment.

The last stop of this trip was from Xishuangbanna to Mangshi and finally to Kunming. Since there was only more than half a day left, we chose to stay at the Four Seasons on the Cloud near the Kunming Botanical Garden. It was already 11:30 in the evening. Walking into the hotel really made people feel at home. The waiters in the hotel were very nice girls and boys, enthusiastic and energetic, and the service was considerate and thoughtful. There was a little hiccup in the middle, because the rental car was found to have scratches, and the service staff patiently called the surveillance camera to help analyze and find it. It turned out that the car rental company did not inform them. In short, just like the name of the hotel, which is romantic and warm, staying here brought a perfect ending to our trip.
Four Seasons on the Cloud is a very cost-effective hotel. I recommend everyone to stay here when you have time.

The hotel is very conveniently located, with easy access to shopping and dining nearby. We arrived a little late on the day we booked, and there were barbecues all around the hotel building, which really gave us a sense of the hustle and bustle of Urumqi. The room was incredibly spacious, exceeding our expectations, and the cleanliness was excellent. Booking a room like this during peak tourist season is incredibly cost-effective!

I chose to stay at this newly opened hotel near the Wulin Square subway station. The overall experience was very satisfying, exceeding my expectations. The hotel's location is exceptional, nestled in Hangzhou's core business district, making travel extremely convenient. The metro station is right next to it, making it easy to access West Lake, Lakeside Pedestrian Street, Chengzhan Railway Station, and East Station. The surrounding area is rich in commercial amenities, with major shopping malls like Hangzhou Center and Kerry Center within walking distance. Dining, shopping, and entertainment are all readily available. The hotel also boasts a comprehensive range of amenities, truly ensuring a vibrant city just steps away.
