This is an inn near the Erlangjian Scenic Area of ​​Qinghai Lake. The front desk receptionist was very enthusiastic and responsive. We wanted to see the sunrise, and they helped us find a way. We saw the sunrise around 6:50 in the morning. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. We were on a self-driving tour of the Gansu-Qinghai loop. When we set out in the morning, we learned that we were going to Xining. The front desk guy recommended that we visit the Atomic City Memorial Hall first. The scenery along the way was great, and the memorial hall was particularly great. It was a very pleasant trip

Very beautiful Christmas decorations at the hotel lobby, but the room seems dated. There was background noise in the room the whole night; if you are a light sleeper like me, it may be a problem. The breakfast was ok, but it was slightly disappointing that there was no coffee machine.

It was my first time staying here. I saw good reviews online and decided to try it out. It was worth the trip. The service from the front desk sister was very good and enthusiastic. She responded to every request and answered the phone promptly. I have to give her a thumbs up. The room was spacious and bright, the bed was soft and comfortable, and it was very quiet. The fountain at the entrance of the hotel was also a plus!

Nice hotel , close to the Train Station. Breakfast is OK, but there are very few options, no tea or coffee. There is no AC in the room, and the walls are pretty thin. You can clearly hear your neighbors, especially when windows and doors are open to let the breeze in.

It was raining and we were very cold from the walk from the HSR station and the receptionist was very concern and provided great service and warm water immediately. Siao Kau was very attentive and also help in providing contacts to the Qinghai lake tour. The tour turned out great even though it was snowing along the way. Didn't expect it to snow in late April. Breakfast was great. Coffee machine with fresh beans and the soya milk was good. Kudos to the hotel service and facilities. Football and billiard table was great during rain and snow season.

Shangde Nyima is an excellent hotel! Every staff is so kind, genuine and helpful! The rooms are warm, clean and so comfortable for people like us not suited for the harsh climate. Mr Chodak the manager is a wonderful man and the front desk staff have a lot of initiative and always tried their best to help us. Most of all, we love the kitchen crew - Tsering, Sonam, Tashi and young Sonam… they prepared delicious food (what we had was ‘zimbuduk’) for us. Tujiche, Shangde Nyima! We will miss you but we will return to see all of you again!❤️

Reception were not well trained . Upon check in day one a deposit was collected and on the same day night they made a call to inform we did not pay the hotel charges and later explained it was reception lapsed that they did not collect upon check in even it states pay at property . 2) chambermaid was brazen to wash our socks without permission and after breakfast we were shocked to see our socks as wet. What if we only have a pair of socks for tourist stay ? 3) after check out multiple phone calls was made to our mobile and was told item teaspoon was missing in the room. And if they cannot find it they will raise a charge on our credit card ??? We called back 5 times to ask n follow-up and wasted 30 Mins of our morning to ask if item was found . We even informed it was on the basin area. Wrong procedure as in general all check out reception staff would contact chambermaid to ask if minibar and items were intact before letting the guest check out . The reception lady were having an aloft attitude and said we could go and we even have to ask for car parking coupon and were directed to fill in the form . This make us beg for service instead and please train your staff to check the items before check out and not making irritating calls and that spoil our rest of the day with 5 international calls made to assist them for a teaspoon costs of CNY20!!! Disgusting service . Please train your staff !!!

It was really a pleasant surprise. As soon as I got off the national highway, I could see the hotel in the vast Gobi Desert, surrounded by rolling sand dunes and endless deserts. The sense of loneliness and tranquility of being isolated from the world made me feel like I was on another planet. The hotel rooms are very distinctively designed and very comfortable to live in. The hotel staff are really considerate. From the moment we arrived at the hotel reception, Miss Yami, Miss Lily and Little Brother Jerry at the front desk were very enthusiastic, the service was very considerate, and they responded to any needs in a timely manner. The breakfast was also very good, and my family loved it very much. I strongly recommend a visit to the Lonely Star Gobi Hotel!!!

Good locale. Service staff excellent! Breakfast spread worth the value. Hotel changes their menu and not repeat all the same items. However they should look into the coffee bean maker as it was really slow to churn out a good cup of coffee! Could be that the piping needs to be checked or even cleaned out!? Overall, it was a good experience. Hallway to the rooms lighting uses sensor, which perhaps need to be adjusted, as it requires heavy stomping of the feet to light up. Thanks!

The surrounding environment has night markets, which are very convenient for shopping at night. Convenient transportation and a wide variety of restaurants nearby. The hotel has good service and the room space is comfortable. It is within walking distance to the Guandong Muslim Mosque in a few minutes.
