"The hotel is brand new, and the room is incredibly spacious with no unpleasant odors. The smart climate control kept the temperature very comfortable. The bed was soft and the window was large, which really helped me shake off the fatigue from staying in some super old hotels in France. I definitely want to come back again! "We have just had a lovely stay at this Double Tree by Hilton in Leeds. It's in an excellent location. Outside are boats and the river a wonderful setting for the summer. We will definitely return for warmer brighter sunny days and nights. I would recommend a visit to the sky lounge, we had a couple of cocktails it was very nice. Friendly service. The hotel is marvellously clean. Comfortable beds. Room a little warm but we had a small window which did open so that was OK. The Breakfast is by far the best I've seen for choices there would be something for everyone. It was excellent. Overall, we very happy with every aspect of our stay, would recommend to others and would definitely stay here again."

"Centrally located with several shopping centers nearby, and also very close to the train station. The room quality is comparable to a typical 5-star hotel in China. As someone who's not used to British food, booking the hotel breakfast was a good decision; the buffet offered enough options for me to find something I liked."

"The hotel is right next to the train station. The front desk staff was a Pakistani guy, and he was incredibly friendly. Seeing I was Chinese, he immediately upgraded my room, telling me, 'I must give you the best, everything is new, everything is fresh.' When I was filling out the form, I had only completed two lines and was about to ask him about the third, but he just said, 'It's fine,' and took the form away. As soon as I entered the room, for the first time ever, the lights came on without me having to insert a card. It was also the first time I've seen a welcome message with my name on the TV. This was also the first time I've encountered air conditioning in any accommodation in the UK (be it hotels, B&Bs, or dorms). It was the first hotel that made me feel like it was a complete package (everything was well-equipped, except for the usual lack of toothbrushes and toothpaste). And it was the first time I played a game with a remote control (though I fell asleep after just a couple of tries). By the time I settled in, it was already 9 PM. At this hour, finding a restaurant outside is tough, and walking around a strange city at night didn't feel very safe. But the hotel has its own restaurant. The prices were a bit steep, but the service and food were definitely worth it, especially the feeling of being able to have a hot meal after a long, tiring day. (The fries were genuinely freshly made, and they gave a whole jar of sauce!) It was a truly satisfying experience. The staff here are genuinely great. Whether it was the Pakistani guy at the front desk, the Black gentleman at the restaurant, or anyone else, they all made an effort to say a few words in Chinese. It really felt like what they say in 'Blossoms Shanghai' – even though you can communicate in English, when someone speaks your language, you truly feel their sincerity. For that meal, I fully expected to pay a service charge (and I would have gladly paid it at this restaurant; normally, I'd remove it if I didn't feel the service was earned). But the bill came with clear pricing, no hidden fees. I didn't have any cash on me, otherwise, I definitely would have left a tip."

"The hotel itself was decent, but the staff were quite poor. Even though there were other rooms available, they deliberately gave me a room at the very end of the hallway. After checking in, I found out the window was broken. I asked to switch rooms, and upon my request, they gave me a room very close to the elevator."

"If you're traveling by train, this hotel is relatively close, about a 10-minute walk from the train station and a 15-minute walk from the city center, both easily accessible. The hotel breakfast is good, offering a basic English breakfast, though the coffee isn't great. The rooms are a bit larger compared to other English hotels. During my stay this time, the bathtub drain was blocked, but the staff went out of their way to help me resolve the issue, and they succeeded. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a sauna, but children are not allowed in the sauna. If children want to use the pool, they must go before 6 PM. This is a good hotel, and I would visit again."

"Lovely overnight stay at Queens for a concert in the city. Location is ideal (attached to the train station). Excellent, friendly staff. Did online check in before arrival which made it quick and simple to collect key card from the reception. The room was spacious and clean with everything you’d need. Limited noise from outside even though the hotel is slap bang in the city centre. Would stay again."

JJoyfulLlamaFirst time in an easyHotel and it will be the last. The room was quiet, the air conditioning worked well, and the hotel is very central - these are the only good things. Bad things- reception staff were unwelcoming, generally apathetic and stingy when it came to using any sundries/consumables, never asked how our stay was or said thankyou. Room has windows but they cant be opened at all, not even a crack. Room does not even have a table, let alone a kettle, a luggage rack, a proper wardrobe, there is literally nowhere to put your things other than the floor, not even a window ledge (there is plenty of room for a small table, and a chair and a luggage rack. We had to ask for disposable cups to get hot water from the lobby and take it to our room on the 3rd floor every time we wanted a drink. I was even told to re use the cups more as they seemed to think I was using too many (i was already re using them as much as i could). They say they are carbon neutral and green etc yet they cant give you a kettle and re usuable cups. There is a rip off vending machine and 2 chairs in the lobby area right opposite the lift and back office - hardly a nice environment to enjoy any drinks in. There is no maid service unless you pay extra, even if you just ask to habe a change of sheets and make the bed yourself the staff have to check with the front desk to make sure they dont charge you for it. The beds are small and not very comfortable, the room numbers are poorly signed in the corridors. This hotel is like being on an easy jet flight, only for us it lasted a whole week. You have an uncomfortable seat included and thats it. Everything else is chargeable or limited or none existant including feeling like a valued guest. You are made to feel like you are an inconvenience if you expect any kind of welcome or service. This makes Traveloge feel like luxury. If you are out in the city for 1 night for a concert or a party night and literally just want a bed to crash in (a hostel would work for this) then this place is ok. If you want a nice stay for more than 1 night this is not the place to stay.

GGuest UserAll of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but it’s the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield.

GGuest UserIt was a lovely hotel very clean rooms, comfy bed.  However remember to book your breakfast the night before otherwise it cost £17 per person instead of £14 ( was a bit of a kick in the teeth) buffet style breakfast so food wasn’t particularly hot and we were waiting around for lots of items to be replenished even though it wasn’t to busy.  Big queue for the coffee machine as one was broken so only one working.  Upon check out don’t forget to enter your car Reg if you had parked in the Docklands car park where you get a discount.  All in all a pleasant stay in a great location

GGuest UserThis was mine & my daughter’s second visit to the hotel, the first time was excellent on all counts.  This time sadly the breakfast wasn’t very good, the sausages, eggs & hash browns were luke warm & tasted like they had been sat there for quite a while, so we ended up leaving that food.  Also, sadly, the two coffee machines were out of order so we just had to have instant coffee. Our room was lovely & spacious though & the reception staff were nice & friendly.  The hotel is in a good location for walking into the city centre.

GGuest UserRoom by reception, very very noisy. No soap and shower gel in the bathroom. No hair dryer. Hotel wasn’t busy and there was plenty of rooms of the same one we booked but, they chose to stick us there. That room should oy be used when hotel is at capacity. Think the receptionist was only interested in upgrading us for an extra fee. She sort of blackmailed us, she said this is your room if you don’t upgrade, like wth

AAnonymous UserThe room is a normal-sized one, equipped with 2 British twin bed (Width: 130~140cm), and it was prepared in an acceptable condition. Air-conditioner is available, but you may find that it need to be turned on for 2~3 times a day, as the system had been set in an economic mode by the hotel. The breakfast is a typically British one, whilst baked mushroom is not provided. Nevertheless, the breakfast tastes good, and you could serve yourself with chocolate croissants, cheese, hot tomato mush, vegetarian-friendly sausages, honey, tinned peaches and coconut yoghurt. Toothpastes and toothbrushes could be ordered with a fee (£2), thereby you'd better rake your own's. The location is reasonable, since the hotel adjoins the John Lewis shopping mall, and there's only 10-min walk way between the hotel and Leeds coach station. Meanwhile, you may walk to the Victoria and Trinity shopping centres in 15~20 minutes from the hotel, though it might be a bit inconvenient to travel to the nearby downtown by bus, given the lack of bus stops next to the gate of this hotel. Overall, it's a foolproof option for someone who anticipate a lodging experience surpassing the average level there.

GGuest UserI made the reservation at 12-07 arriving at about 3-15 - 3-30 and had requested an extra blanket but was told this was not possible because I had made the booking late and reception did not have any!! These are woodland cabins and I should have thought this would have been a common request and extra blankets readily available. The cabin was heated by a movable electric heater that took hours to warm the cabin. The doors closed with difficulty possibly because of repeated painting and there was paint over the metal handles. The outer door did not close from teh inside. There was no where to sit in the cabin and no free surface to set things as the only suitable surface, a desk, had a free standing TV on it. There was a wardrobe but it smelt fusty. The food was good but the service was slow because the restaurant seemed understaffed with teh barman helping as a waiter. The setting is beautiful and the staff are very pleasant. There is ample tea and coffee in teh room and a kettle.
