Hotels With Wifi in Capital Region, Iceland

We have a great stay at Kex Hotel at the beginning and end of our 9 days road trip. In total, we stay 3 nights at KEX (1 night and beginning & 2 nights at the end of our trip) The location is perfect! We can easily walk to the town area along the coast with a view and explore the town area with good eateries available. Even from the hotel, you already got a view especially when you head to level 3 or 4 to use the common kitchen area (see photos attached). The room (Family room) were very spacious (more than enough space to put all your luggage), very clean (10/10 for me) and very comfortable. The toilet is spacious too and the shower spray is strong and good! I welcome the room heater which make it warm and cozy even though it is end of Summer hahhaha. The staffs are all very friendly and I have a beer during the happy hour and is of reasonable price. The common kitchen area is amazing and has all essential you need. We enjoy all our hot cooked meal there. Overall, I highly recommended this place and should I go back to Iceland again, I will booked this hotel again :)

The room facilities are very comprehensive; you can make breakfast and simple meals. They provide complimentary milk, juice, and cereal, as well as salt, pepper, and oil. I stayed for about a week, and milk and juice were restocked occasionally, but I couldn't figure out the pattern. Sometimes, even after I finished them, they weren't refilled. The room is on the top floor, and some areas have low ceilings. You need to be careful, especially when showering, as you might hit your head. The location is very convenient. You can walk to the cathedral, bus stop 6, Piggly Wiggly supermarket, and various restaurants. Regarding service, one of the front desk staff, a shorter male with dark hair, provided mediocre service. However, the taller male with light hair was excellent and even offered to help with my luggage.

Great location, 3 min walking to aurora borealis Bus stop no. 6 pick-up. Airport transfer Bus 55 public 17 EUR one-way, takes 1,5h to BSI central station, then 20 min walk to hotel or take yellow bus to Bus stop nr. 6. I had a 2 nights stay, their reception staff was amazing, the lady helped me book a northern lights tour literally the moment I've entered. Pods very comfortable, ambient changing lights, hangers provided and large space for your suitcases. Ground floor bar and socializing space really cozy, beer and wine tabs are activated by digital bracelet, top notch kitchen (no stove), free high quality tea bags (loved that detail:). Elevator, entry with digital bracelet in the pod, bath robes (2) per pod for hot tub use, Dyson hair dryer and Rituals free cosmetics at bathroom. Free storage of luggage after check out all activated with the digital bracelet. Everything it's spotless clean and their attention to little details it's something that will make me return.

Very convenient location, no. 12 bus stop is just around the corner of the hotel. Can walk to the city centre in 15-20 minutes. Breakfast is very good with big variety of food. Will stay in this hotel again next time when visit Iceland.

The Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik City Centre is fantastic! The facilities, cleanliness, ambiance, and service were all exceptional. We thought we'd have to wait until 11 AM to check in, but when we arrived at 8:30 AM and asked at the front desk, we were told we could check in in half an hour – it was truly wonderful! The hotel's location is also excellent, right in front of the Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral (northwest corner). From our room, we could see the church's bell tower and the square. After dropping off our luggage, we immediately started our walking tour of Reykjavik city center. Reykjavik city center isn't very large; within a 500-meter radius, you can basically see the Harpa Concert Hall, the Sun Voyager sculpture, and many unique buildings. But my favorite is still Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral!

I loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! One of the outstanding features is that they give you a cell phone to use during your stay. The phone already has helpful apps installed for taxis, restaurants, etc. We are from the US so did not have international cell service so having this phone with us was helpful, especially for using maps. Reykjavik is a walkable city, and the hotel is located on the most popular street, so it has easy access to everything. The staff was very helpful and there is also a bar/restaurant onsite with amazing cocktails. There is an included breakfast buffet which featured hot and cold items. We had a room on the 4th floor that included access to large patio. We loved this feature as we could wake up and go outside to check the weather and enjoy the views of the mountains and water in the distance. The hotel was also extremely clean. Another nice touch was that they knew we were celebrating our wedding anniversary so when we entered our room, we found a bottle of wine, chocolate and romantic decorations!

The room and bed are both tiny, almost like a narrow daybed as some have pointed out. On the plus side, the bed itself was quite comfortable. Cleanliness was mediocre; I even found hairs on the bed. The bathroom sink is poorly designed; you can barely wash your hands, let alone your face, as your head gets stuck against the glass shelf above it. Considering the prices in Iceland, it's relatively cheap, and it's okay for just one night if you're on a budget. There's a bus stop conveniently located right outside, and the airport shuttle drops you off directly at the entrance.

Room was good had everything you needed but did take a while to get warm. A little noisy if staying on airport side but stops around 22/23.00 and great views from the window. Staff very friendly and explained everything you need to know of the area.

The value for money was pretty average, and the breakfast was quite basic. The room was actually pretty small; it was difficult to even open two suitcases. However, there's a bus stop right outside the hotel's restaurant, which was very convenient. You'll also find plenty of gift shops just across the street.

This is a very convenient and affordable place to stay in the city. The apartment is equipped with basic cooking utensils for simple cooking. The interior facilities are clean and tidy, but the lighting is a bit dim. But it does not affect the use.
