"The location is excellent, very close to Kyoto Station, with bus stops and convenience stores nearby. We didn't order breakfast, so I can't comment on it. The complimentary evening snack was ramen, which was shrimp-flavored. The onsen (hot spring bath) was as comfortable as always, and the open-air bath was particularly relaxing! Cleanliness: Good Service: Excellent, and there was a staff member who spoke Chinese, which was very convenient."

"This really is the legendary couples' hotel, definitely not suitable for those with small children (you know what I mean!). But seriously, this is the biggest room I've ever stayed in in Japan!!! The room was so big we could open both our suitcases without them getting in the way. The bed was definitely a king-size. They also offer breakfast and free parking. All in all, for me, there are no downsides!!! I loved everything about it. I would definitely stay again."

"A hotel that gives a 5 star feel. Warm welcoming from the moment we reach till we leave the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good too. Located within walking distance from the train station and shopping street. Overall was a wonderful experience."

"This hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable – it's directly across from Okaido and right next to the airport bus stop. Truly a prime spot! It offers excellent accessibility to major attractions like the 1-day bus tour, Matsuyama Castle, and Dogo Onsen. I appreciated the thoughtful services they offered, such as welcome drinks from 3 PM to 10 PM, one free alcoholic drink per night from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, and Ochazuke from 9 PM to 11 PM. It doesn't seem to be a new hotel; rather, it appears to be a rebranded property taken over by a different group from the former Tokyu Rei Hotel. However, there were a few disappointing aspects: 1. While I understand the trend of eco-plans and not servicing rooms for consecutive nights to a certain extent, not getting any service for a three-night stay was quite hard to comprehend. This was a significant drawback compared to other hotels of similar caliber. (Other comparable hotels typically don't service for two nights but do on the third, or offer a refund of around 300 yen per night or alternative services if you opt out of consecutive-night cleaning.) 2. The hotel was still under construction. The first-floor entrance and second-floor restaurant were inaccessible due to ongoing work. 3. The air conditioning was a serious issue. The temperature simply wouldn't go down, and the AC unit made an excessively loud noise. The number of available circulators was also limited, and I only managed to borrow one on my third night (you can't reserve them, so you just have to keep asking). If possible, I'd recommend spending a bit more to stay at ANA Crowne Plaza, Candeo, Dormy Inn, or Daiwa Roynet directly across the street instead. The staff members I encountered were all friendly, which is commendable, as they are simply following hotel policies set by upper management."

"I was very impressed with this hotel as I had read some reviews that mentioned it is a little older than the average property but it was sparkling clean with lovely facilities and guest rooms. The location is perfect for visiting the three famous onsen hot springs facilities and the hotel actually provide special clothing to make visiting the onsens easier and more authentic. Parking is available for a fee and there is a small restaurant/bar onsite. This is a ripper of a hotel."

"The facilities are amazing and the onsen was super clean the food was great as it can be! I would totally go back. I just hope they have options for travelers with dogs. Where they have beautiful garden to walk around and if dog was allowed the stay would be more efficient and comfortable. Amazing place!"

"Staff is helpful with parking, parking charges is a bit on high side of 1200Yen as compared to those public carpark nearby. Additional charges for 1-2hr at 200Yen/30mins after 1100hr checkout, could have been waived as a service. Check-in / Check out process was smooth and room size was big. Location was great as just right next to shopping street. Overall, good hospitality from staff."

"The JR Clement Inn is next door to the train station which is very nice if you're in town due to the Shimanami Kaido trail. Given the price point of the hotel, it delivers. They offered free drinks in the evening, including sake, and while we did not have their breakfast buffet, it appeared to be very good. Rooms were clean and spacious and location is very tough to beat."

"We stayed as a family of three, including an elementary school-aged child. We paid the child's rate, but there were no amenities for the children and they had to sleep in the same bed as us, which was quite difficult with an older child. We didn't need amenities for everyone, but I would have liked at least towels for everyone. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, luxurious, and comfortable."
