First of all, the access from the station is excellent, and there are commercial facilities inside the station just a short distance away.
The washing area in the large public bath was very spacious. (The showers and hair dryers were Refa brand.)
The breakfast area was also spacious and offered a wide variety of options, which was satisfying.
Free coffee was also provided.

I was very impressed with my stay. The service was excellent at every point, from the valet parking staff and the front desk to the restaurant staff who provided exceptional service.
The Superior room was spacious, had a stunning view, and I especially loved that there was a massage chair in the room. The common area facilities were complete, including the onsen and foot bath. The highlight was the free ice cream before 8 pm in front of the onsen, and the seating area with a view while enjoying ice cream was fantastic.
The only minor drawback was that the bathroom in the room had a slightly unpleasant smell. I hope the hotel will check into this and improve it. If this can be fixed, it would be a perfect stay, and I would definitely return again in the future.

Overall a nice hotel, very close to the JR train station, just a couple of minutes walk away. The room size was very generous a lot bigger than others we’ve stayed at in Japan. The bathroom was also very spacious with a full size bath and powerful shower. The hotel provides nightwear and toiletries as well as coffee and laundry. Breakfast has a good variety of choices although can we quite busy as peak times and items do run out. I would recommend as a good convenient choice if travelling by train.

For the first time in Nihonmatsu, refer to the word of tipcom
I stayed with my uncle and three people at Kounkakusan.
The parking lot is on the upper and lower sides of Kounkaku-san, so it seems that you can stop either one, check in a little before 3 o'clock, this time I stayed in one room, and this time I stayed in the second floor room, so I went to the large communal bath and footbath
and i was able to go smoothly
The next morning breakfast buffet is on the fourth floor
From the receptionist, everyone at the buffet venue
Very hard and kind
I would also like to visit during the chrysanthemum doll season.
My husband, my uncle, and I are very happy.
thank you very much.

Guest UserWe enjoyed the hot springs and the pool, but it was difficult to find our way to the outdoor pool and the South Wing, especially since it was our first time. It would have been nice if there were more amenities in the room.

The staff were super helpful and friendly, food was also really good. The buffet had quite a wide selection and all of the food i tried was great. The staff also provided new bath towels and yukatas each evening, their service was amazing.
Our one major issue with the place was the cleanliness of the bath area. The rest of the room was super clean and tidy but the onsen area really needed a good scrub. There was mildew covering the walls of the shower area(which honestly wasn’t such a big issue). The real nightmare was the tub area and the tub itself. The floors surrounding the tub were slippery and slimy and covered with algae. The rim and bottom(inside) of the tub were also slimy. It was suppose to be a relaxing soak in the tub but it ended up being very uncomfortable having to avoid the slime all the time :(
Other than that the place is great, it was just really disappointing as the “main highlight” of our room, which was the onsen, ended up being the worst part of the room.

Guest UserI am quite impressed with this hotel and almost try to reserve another one from the same hotel grouo. First, the room is not big but it is decided to use the space efficiently, e.g. standing shower instead of bath tub. large TV attached to the wall (which is a smart TV!), simple chair and can be placed below the desk. And in terms of facilities, there is a small bookshelf of comic books, massage chair ( with no cost ) in the relaxation room. The public bath has mid side hot tube, a sauna and cold bath. And for breakfast, there are good variety of choice and the area is large and comfortable. I think it is a result for thoughtful design and good use of space (again!). The only downside would be the lobby is located at the 3rd floor and the entry is facing a sidewalk, which can be confusing to find.

This was one of the best ryokans I stayed in!
All the stuff members were very nice and helpful, the dinner was amazingly delicious and the hot springs sooo relaxing!
But the brightest memory will definitely be the shamisen music that is played in the hall in the evening!
I will definitely come again and I hope that next time I would be able to stay longer!

Guest UserThe hotel is very good with great proximity to the ski place. The room is clean and cosy with great views. And the onsen is very good that it had long opening hours, we can go after the ski to relax.
However, it would be better if the guest had a choice of whether the room can be made everyday or after we left. And it will be even better if more variety of restaurants/ cur-sine can be provided rather than just buffet.
