Dormy Inn Maebashi is a fantastic place to stay, offering comfort, convenience, and excellent amenities. The hotel is well-maintained, with clean and cozy rooms that provide a relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights is the onsen, which is perfect for unwinding after a long day. The complimentary nighttime ramen is a nice touch, adding to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. With its great location near the station, Dormy Inn Maebashi is a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended!
Location is good, easier accessible from the bus station and within 3 minutes walk from the Yubatake. But it is surrounded by construction and therefore the view is not attractive.
Service quality is good, staff are friendly, helpful and responsive.
Food quality overall is fine. Yet tradition Japanese cuisine would make the experience of an onsen vacation whole more than fusion cuisine.
Choice of onsen is limited versus the price level. Only 1 public bath is available. The 4 rental baths add more to the range of choice but they are quite quickly occupied.
Upon arrival at Kichinoniwa, the staff immediately took our luggage to the hotel. A dedicated staff member greeted us and personally assisted with the check-in process and explained all the details. Even though their English wasn't perfect, we were able to communicate effectively and understand each other. We arrived a bit earlier than the official check-in time, but they were very accommodating and allowed us to check in immediately. The service was truly exceptional.
It was a clean, convenient room near the station. I think you can relax in the room without stress. However, since it was Golden Week, I feel that 13,000 yen per night including breakfast is a bit expensive.
Great onsen with shared baths, allowing couples and families to enjoy the hot springs together. Dinner and breakfast are simply amazing! Before you have time to finish one dish, they are already bringing you another. The staff is extremely polite and ready to solve any problem! The downside is the remote loc nuation, but there is a shuttle to the onsen. Also, we did not have amenities in our room, only on the floor, but this is special about our building.
I booked a Corner Double Room. The room itself was a decent size. However, the communal bathing area wasn't very spacious, with only about 5-6 washing stations and 3 spots for drying hair, which could make it quite crowded during busy periods.
The hotel provides parking, and there are also partner parking lots available on both sides of the hotel. All parking options cost 1200 yen per day. However, they don't offer unlimited in-and-out access, which is a bit inconvenient. It means you'll need to complete all your activities before returning to park your car at the hotel for the night.
Having a FamilyMart convenience store right downstairs from the hotel was very convenient.
The arrival was late at 5 o'clock, and the dinner time was designated late at 7:30 and was disappointed. However, the buffet meal was delicious. Indoor slippers are better disposable
Rooms were small and tight for a couple. Location was great with the rail station just next door. Eateries were easy to find and there is a mall. Super convenient if you need anything. Overall we had a great stay

愛愛轉圈圈的大玉兒If you stay in a business-type room, you won't have to worry about poor cleaning just because it's not a higher-priced Japanese-style room. The room is very clean and comfortable. The hot springs in the hotel include indoor baths, open-air baths, and paid-for chartered hot spring pools. The food and drinks are delicious. It's close to 365 steps and The shrine can be reached by walking in about 10 minutes (if you hold a map, you can take a small path to get there faster)
Diagonally opposite the hotel is the highway bus (stop name: Ikaho Onsen Station) (round trip to Tokyo, tickets need to be reserved in advance, no temporary purchase)
KKidddThe hot spring hotel is very close to Yubatake. The Yubatake is beautiful at night. The hotel's Keishi cuisine is delicious and well presented. There is also a QR code for breakfast and dinner to let you scan and explain what each dish is. They are very attentive. The hot springs are also very comfortable. They are switched between morning and evening, so you can soak in the hot springs on both sides. The waiters were very nice and provided warm hospitality. I will definitely stay here again next time I have the opportunity.
GGuest UserExcellent stay! Hotel may be old but the facilities are up to date and clean. Service from staff is also generally good. 7mins walk to Sainokaiwara Park via the short cut. It’s a 15mins walk from Yubatake and you’ll need to walk up a slope to get to the hotel, may be strenuous for those with luggages. There’s a shuttle bus to and fro hotel to Yubatake every hourly, refer to photo. There’s even a shuttle bus to Takasaki train station, so ask the staff for details. Breakfast in hotel is excellent and very homely, overall enjoyed my stay here and will recommend friends to come!

WWON桑If you want to experience authentic Japanese tatami-style accommodation and stroll around in traditional yukata, this is a great choice. The hotel is conveniently located near all the hot springs, and accommodations here include a rich dinner and breakfast. It’s highly recommended for families or couples traveling together. I highly recommend it!
GGuest UserThe pick-up staff are polite and there is a car to pick up and drop off the hotel! Passengers cannot check into the room with their shoes upright. They can only change slippers in front of the hotel door to keep the environment clean. The travel environment is comfortable. The room faces the woods. There are male and female hot springs or private hot springs at your own expense, which is very comfortable!
GGuest UserThis is a hotel with a long history since the Edo period. It is 2 minutes away from the bus station and Yuten. The hotel's meticulous service is meticulous and thoughtful, with a smile on your face, and the special apple juice is very delicious. The dinner is Kaiseki cuisine, and you can experience it one dish at a time. The food is quite rich. Special praise for Liu San who can speak Chinese. The service is very good, which makes us communicate barrier-free and feel at ease. The hot spring is also very comfortable. I have never experienced such a service-oriented hotel. Thank you again for the excellent service provided by Kusatsu Golden Green Hotel. Recommend everyone to experience it.
劉劉輝龍Japan's number one onsen is truly impressive, offering an unparalleled experience in the heart of Kusatsu Onsen. The onsen's renowned healing waters and exceptional facilities provide a perfect retreat, while its central location allows easy access to the charming surroundings of Kusatsu. This combination makes it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.
YYeung NicoleNo towels are provided in the public hot spring places and needa to bring from room to the onsen spot.
Asked the staff about the routes from Kusatsu to Shinjuku and they have no clue at all. Finally got one English speaking staff told us that theres direct bus from the station to Shinjuku.
Asked again whether advanced booking of the bus tickets are needed and the staff said it’s not necessary. We ended up the next day missed two earlier buses coz they were already full and we were reluctant to have 2 times transport changes by asking the tourism information centre.
Barely staffs can speak and understand English well.
However, the French set dinner are really nice and out of our expectations.
GGuest UserOverall staying in this hotel was pleasant, and it was of great value considering the package had already included dinner and breakfast buffet.
Regarding location, it was a bit far from the bus terminal by walking. It took us about 15 minutes, as the route by Google was not quite correct. The main entrance of the hotel was up on a slope, which was not as easy as we were carrying luggage.
Remember to ask the front desk for the password of the back gate. It was a short cut route leading to the main shopping street and the Kusatsu Yubatake.
The room was pleasant and clean, a bit too basic. There was only a socket near the tv wall, not close to the bed, which was a bit inconvenient.
There was wide range of food in the buffet, with some interesting local dishes. Food was delicious. The hotel also offer free late night snack noodle, which worth trying too.
