Cafe in Busay
The café’s name got its name from the word ‘utopia, which is an “imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect.” Sure enough, you’ll find the place holding to the word’s meaning with its beautiful aesthetics and calm atmosphere.
Aside from the captivating aesthetics of the place, they also offer sumptuous food and delicious drinks on their menu; Utopia Bar & Café is a Filipino-inspired bar and café with an Eastern European theme. They provide a selection of specialty drinks, including both cocktails and coffees.
Indeed, while utopia may mean an imaginative state of perfection, it can now be reached by taking a 15 to 20-minute drive from Cebu City Center to the frigid hills of Barangay Busay, Cebu! As an added treat, on some days you might be lucky enough to see the relaxing curtains of fog!

MAD monkey hostel 🇵🇭
If you’re looking for a vibrant, young and energetic experience whilst in Cebu, Philippines, then I’d recommend staying here. This hostel is perfect for the traveling backpacker or group of friends looking for a friendly time. You get a free welcome drink on arrival and the food options are great too! The rooms have options of private rooms or dormitories. The room shown in the picture is a private room and has a good air conditioning unit on the side. The private rooms come with towels but the dormitories do not. Be aware that no rooms have any soap or shampoo or conditioner.
The hostel provides free ear plugs (and if you go to sleep before the music stops at 3am it’s likely you’ll need it) - we were floor 4 closest to the music and the vibrations can be felt through the bed, although this did not stop us from having a good night sleep.
The hostel is located a bit out of the way and there were not much shops around so best to get a GRAB to places needed. #cebu #asiatrip #foodie #hotel #hostel #philippines #backpacking #nightlife #urbanexplorer

Seas the day at Cebu Ocean Park 🌊
Feast your eyes with the wonders of the ocean and learn while having fun at Cebu Ocean Park. It is truly one of the go to places in Cebu for kids and adults alike. Visit their online website and pages to avail your tickets and they also accept walk-ins for almost the same amount. Their daily schedule includes bird shows, feeding at the main tank and bird feeding. It was great to be back with kiddo this time. 💚💙🤍#themepark #urbanexplorer #cebuphilippines
Perfect Stay in Cebu!
#myperfectstaycation is when it has complete local breakfast and located in secluded area where I can find my zen. Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is uphill and to come here its about 40 minutes drive from the airport. Pick up from hotel cost PHP 1350 but worth it as its very difficult to find driver here.
I was welcomed with plate of tropical fruits on table. Room quite humid, old and rundown. weather here is super hot that it reach 33 degree. Breakfast is damn good! All local dishes available. Service is great too! People here are friendly and helpful especially Juvy!

Life is Sauna
By far the best sauna i've ever experienced! And the ambiance is so relaxing! The food is delicious and worth trying while waiting for your sauna/massage. And they have a very accomodating staff who will help you with your needs. Thank you Ayo Ayo! Will surely be back in the future!
Definitely worth a try if you are looking for relaxation and want a quick body recovery since you get to experience sauna and ice baths. The place is definitely smaller than expected, so it's best to book reservations rather than walking in. Food prices are expensive and the amount you get is small. I have not tried the kombucha but i think they have some good ones there.
The Sauna is great and I love the feel of sweating out all the toxins in the body.
The Japanese food is also great, I reccomend the Langkatsu Curry. It is very delicious.
Although it is an acquiared taste since some may not like the strong curry smell, but its super delicious once you get used to the taste.

The Archdiocesan Museum of Cebu
The Cathedral Museum of Cebu is a museum in Downtown Cebu City in the Philippines 🇵🇭, reopened in November 2006. It is the ecclesiastical museum of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cebu⛪. It’s situated next to the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, and not far from the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
🌟This place is perfect for those who wants to learn more about Cebuano history and culture. The building is a fine example of the balay nga bato or de cal y canto – a structure of stone and wood. It houses the religious icons and things wore and used by the priests in conducting mass. It is a 2 ⬆️⬇️ storey museum, and has a spacious garden 🌺🌸🌻. The building was one of the few extant structures in downtown Cebu City that was totally spared from the ravages of World War II.
📍The old museum is located just beside Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral along P. Burgos Street and F. Urdaneta Street
🚌🚗It is very accesible: jeepney, taxi, or private vihicle. For jeepney, you can ride 02B it will pass by Cathedral Museum.
💲Entrance fee : 100P for foreigners
🔝🔝I recommend this museum to historic artifact lovers and anyone curious about the Philippine heritage.🇵🇭

✅The Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral🇵🇭
🌟🌟Very nice place to see the old history of Cebu! 🇵🇭
⛪Officially known as the Metropolitan Cathedral and Parish of Saint Vitalis and of the Immaculate Conception (dedicated to Mary, under her title, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception and to Saint Vitalis of Milan), is the ecclesiastical seat of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Cebu in Cebu, Philippines. Cebu was established as a diocese on August 14, 1595. It was elevated as a metropolitan archdiocese on April 28, 1934, with the dioceses of Dumaguete, Maasin, Tagbilaran, and Talibon as suffragans. Before being raised as a primatial ⛪church in Cebu, the church was one of the first churches in the Philippines🇵🇭 (besides the Basilica del Santo Niño) dedicated to St. Vitalis and built near the fort in April 1565 by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi.
🚧Construction of the cathedral was halted many times over the centuries due to lack of funds. It was not completed until the early 1900s. It was partially destroyed by Allied bombings during World War II 💣before being rebuilt in the 1950s. Notice that its squat shape and thick walls help to protect damage from typhoons and other natural disasters.
📍Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is in the San Roque neighborhood in the southeastern part of the city.
🚌Ride a bus or jeepney to the Plaridel St. stop, which is just west of the church⛪. Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral is a must-visit 🌟 for those interested in Cebu’s cultural heritage🇵🇭.
Visit nearby sights, such as the 1️⃣Minor Basilica of the Holy Child,2️⃣ the Plaza Independencia and 3️⃣the University of Cebu.

The oldest Church in Cebu–Santo Nino Basilica
✅Interesting to visit and see. The place is rich in history and cultural heritage!
⛪The Basílica Menor del Santo Niño de Cebu 🇵🇭 (Minor Basilica of the Holy Child of Cebú), is a basilica in Cebu City in the Philippines that was founded in 1565 by Fray Andrés de Urdaneta and Fray Diego de Herrera. It is the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country, allegedly built on the spot where the image of the Santo Niño de Cebú was found during the expedition of Miguel López de Legazpi. ✝️The image of the Child Jesus is the same presented by Ferdinand Magellan to the chief consort of Rajah Humabon on the occasion of their royal Baptism to Roman Catholicism on April 14, 1521. The image was found by a soldier named Juan de Camuz forty years later, preserved in a wooden box, after Legazpi had razed a local village. When Pope Paul VI made the church a basilica in 1965, he declared it to be "the symbol of the birth and growth of Christianity in the Philippines. The present building was completed from 1739–1740 and was designated by the Holy See as the "Mother and Head of all Churches in the Philippines. 🇵🇭
📍How to get there:
It is located in a block beside D. Jakosalem Street, Osmena Boulevard, P. Burgos Street, and the Plaza Sugbo where the chapel of Magellan’s Cross is at. Take a ride on a Mybus from Mactan Cebu to SM Cebu City. From there, ride a jeep with the route code 12I or 10M. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Basilica del Santo Nino.
⏲️This religious landmark is an all-year-round destination. It is open daily from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
🌟Well worth visiting✅✅

🏰 Fort SAN PEDRO- CEBU🇵🇭
Fort San Pedro, 🏰 the oldest and smallest triangular fort in the Philippines, is an 18th-century structure that served as an army garrison to repel aggressors during the Spanish regime. In the later years, through the advent of colonization, the fort was turned into a barracks (during the American reign), a school, an emergency hospital, a prison (during the Japanese reign), and a zoo before it became a historical park as it is seen today. Notable items inside the fort include paintings, real cannons, old photographs, and a triangular roof deck.
⏲️Operating Hours: Every day, 8:00 a.m.-08:00 p.m.

Mr. Crab - Cebu Yacht Club
Great place to dine with family and friends - sea view and outdoor open setting. It's very refreshing to dine with the view here. Also the food they serve feels homey - tastes like lutong bahay but are really tasteful. They have so many food selections to choose from and the worth the price. They come in big servings and they also cook live seafoods. There are lot of restaurants in this area and I think this resto prices are on the more afforable side - so you get the same experience for lower price.
They don't also charge corkage if you bring outdoor food like cakes and others for your celebrations. Staffs are friendly and accomodating. We asked for extra plates for us to enjoy our cake and they were kind to provide us.
💯 recommended resto - experience, food and price is all worth it. Be sure to visit when coming to Mactan.
Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetable selections.
Kid-friendliness: Place is spacious and allows kids to move a lot.
Parking: There are lots of parking spaces.

🇵🇭🔝Casa Corordo museum
The museum is well-adorned and interesting to visit.👍
Casa Gorordo is a house museum located in the historic Parian district of Cebu, the oldest city in the Philippines. It is owned and managed by the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) under its Culture & Heritage focus area. The house was acquired by RAFI from the Gorordo family in 1979, renovated and enhanced, and opened to the public as a museum in 1983. In recognition of its historical and social significance, the National Historical Institute (now the National Historical Commission of the Philippines) conferred on Casa Gorordo Museum the title “National Historical Landmark” in 1991."
Built in the 1850's, it lived through several important social changes that shaped modern Filipino identity. Casa Gorordo Museum is notable for being the residence of Juan Gorordo, the first native bishop of Cebu. 🎨Some items displayed in the house include wooden carvings, kitchen utensils, household items, art collections and clothes.
Visitors are provided with tablets that guide them through the different rooms of the two-story house.

Yap-San Diego Ancestral House!🇵🇭
👣A place that is worth a stop ! ▶️
I enjoyed a stroll around this house looking at all of the antiques. it is considered as one of the oldest existing residential structures in the country and a proof the Parian district in Cebu City was a bustling barangay where houses are often designed with a second storey. The Yap-San Diego ancestral house🏠 was built in 1675, according to tour guide. It was owned by the family of a Chinese merchant, Don Juan Yap and his wife Doña Maria Florida. The house mainly shows the Cebu City scene before the Spaniards came, with pictures of local customs and wonderful family stories, fully demonstrating the influence of China🇨🇳 and Spain 🇪🇸on the marriage culture of Cebu. The ancestral house can be broadly divided into three parts: The ⬇️, the upper floor⬆️ and the garden🍁💐🌸.

Shaka Cafe
The proliferation of Siargao’s famous smoothie bowls continues as Shaka opens its second branch in Cebu.
Plant-based meals have been around for more than 2,000 years, but they have become prevalent as the world is embracing sustainability, and people are turning towards much healthier lifestyles. With this increasing demand, a plant-based gourmet meal restaurant opened its first branch in Siargao.
Shaka established their name and began expanding their branches across the country. They opened their first branch in Cebu in Moalboal, and now they finally entered Cebu City, at Streetscape Mall in Banilad.
Shaka at Streetscape looks picturesque and refreshing, especially with its al fresco setup. They brought the “Siargao island” feels to Cebu, which will lure both loyal and new customers.
Shaka also has its distinct brand that lets the guests witness the creative process of creating their gourmet meals. No wonder people get more inspired to try their healthy and organic food selections.

Qube
Since its inception in 2013, Qube Gallery has positioned itself as a major player in the Philippine contemporary art community through its active physical and online exhibition programming, network links, and participation in international art fairs. Based in Cebu, the gallery is dedicated to advocating for its roster of emerging, mid career and established artists selected based on aesthetic vision aligned with the gallery. The aim is to promote Filipino artists beyond local archipelagic reach and to develop an international art dialogue by featuring foreign artists who have close affinity to the Philippines.
I like that it gives a space to show off amazing local art and exhibits which are equally globally competitive. Almost every month you will be able to appreciate colors and paintings using different medium-for free. The gallery is neighbors with cafes. You can take a pick which kind of chilling you like. There is craft beer downstairs. As of this writing, i am not sure if craft beer is still open but do check out the area. You surely will have more optionss for drinks. Enjoy!

The canyoneering in the municipality of Badian has two options. First one is the downstream canyoneering. This will start from the Kanlaob River in Alegria going through Badian and ending in Kawasan Falls.
The second one is the upstream canyoneering that simply reverses the downstream route. The starting point of the upstream canyoneering is in the Kawasan Falls, going through Badian and all the way to Kanlaob River.

10k Roses
You’ve probably heard of 10000 Roses Café & More by now. It is undeniably the most popular and most sought-after café in Cebu today after making a huge buzz on Facebook. For sure, at least three days from now, this Korean café will surely be enjoying the hype now and eventually be worrying about accommodating all these curious and excited guests.
Though really, 10000 Roses Café & More is one beautiful place — definitely and considerably a tourist attraction now. AND NO, these are not real roses. These are artificial, LED-powered roses. That’s why it’s best to go there during dusk until night. But what else should we know about this café?
If you’ve ever thought about ticking one of the major Cebu tourist spots off your bucket list, we’ve put together this handy guide telling you everything you need to know before you visit, including the best time to see the roses, entrance fee and what to expect.
The best time to visit 10000 Roses Cebu is at night-time when the art installation is fully illuminated. Unfortunately, our schedule didn’t allow for this but if you can help it, you should definitely wait until the sun sets. Hot tip: 10000 Roses Café & More makes for an impressive date night.

Charlie’s Cup is a roadside nature cafe hanging by the cliffs of Balamban. This treehouse-esque chill destination has a great unobstructed view of the verdant mountains and a very soothing breeze to complement the views.
Additionally, the combination of wood, metal, and glass gives a very clean and charming look that blends well with nature despite its modern architecture. A couple of trees sprout from under the wood panels and shoot forth into the open where the sun shines brightly. All of these elements put together creates a simple and rustic vibe that’s both pleasant and extremely comforting to the soul.
As the sun sets, Charlie’s Cup creates a different kind of scenery that’s equally charming and relaxing. At night time, the cafe illuminates the dark mountainside with lanterns that are hanging on the branches of the trees.
