Battambang’s hidden gem temple

Wat Sampeau in Battambang is this awesome spot where you get to see a golden temple shining bright on a hill. It’s not just pretty; it’s got a heavy dose of history with the nearby caves, telling stories from Cambodia's past. So, if you’re up for amazing views, a touch of adventure, and a bit of history, this place ticks all the boxes. It’s a cool way to see a different side of Cambodia. You can hire a driver at the very bottom of the hill for 3 USD to take you to the caves and this temple, (trust me that is worth it). After the visit and going back to the starting point right on the entrance, you can stay until sunrise to see bats flying out from a huge bat cave next to a giant buddha.
