Bazhong Enyang Ancient Town is a little-known treasure. It's rarely visited, as if time has stood still. It is named after the Enyang River. It used to be a busy water transport dock, and is also one of the 'Top Ten Ancient Towns in Sichuan'. Because it is located in the former impoverished area of Bazhong, it has not been overly impacted by commercial development, and still retains a large number of original old streets and ancient buildings. Walking on the bluestone slab road here, feeling the ups and downs of the streets, surrounded by wooden structure earth wall tile houses. These ancient houses still have residents living in them, as if they have traveled back in time. The ancient town surrounds the water area, with two docks and two bridges connected. Starting from the tourist center, you will pass the Qifeng Bridge, this newly built landscape pedestrian bridge is intoxicating. There are 28 streets in the town, starting from Qifeng Bridge, you can first visit Wanshou Palace, then pass through Zheng Street, Xinshi Street, Oil Room Street, and there are many red cultural relics left, which are worth exploring. There are various snacks in the residential houses, such as sesame shell (a kind of crisp), ten bowls of the ancient town, North Sichuan cold noodles, pot helmet, spicy hot and so on. 🚄Traffic tips: Departing from Chengdu, the self-driving distance is 330 kilometers, which takes about 3.5 hours. Both Chengdu and Chongqing have high-speed trains to Bazhong city area.
