🌟 Highlights: Yongning Weicheng Ancient City, shaped like an ao fish and also known as Aocheng, was built in the 27th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1394). It is located near the sea in Yongning Town, Shishi City, and was one of the three major Weichengs in China at that time (Yongning Weicheng was built to resist Japanese pirates), along with Tianjin Weicheng and Weihai Weicheng. Yongning means 'eternal peace.' Surrounded by the sea on three sides, it boasts miles of golden beaches. The City God Temple is bustling with worshippers, the local cuisine is rich in Southern Fujian characteristics, the market life is pure and natural, and through the exquisite old buildings, one can glimpse the enterprising spirit of Southern Fujian that 'only those who dare to strive can win.'
