Jiagenba | A Secret Gem in Western Sichuan, The Most Beautiful Scenery is on the Road

Departing from Chengdu, it takes 5.5 hours by car, passing through Kangding, over Zheduo Mountain, passing Yaha Pass, Tagong Grassland, to reach Jiagenba. Western Sichuan is famous for Xinduqiao, which is known as 'a paradise for photographers📸', and Jiagenba is a 40min drive from Xinduqiao. The most beautiful scenery in Western Sichuan is on the road: At Yaha Pass, when the sunlight illuminates the distant snow-capped mountains, they look like ice cream on top of a milk tea cup, dazzlingly white. On Tagong Grassland, you might occasionally encounter herds of cattle and sheep, grazing in an orderly manner, with wooden Tibetan-style houses and fluttering Tibetan flags. The apples weigh down the branches, creating a scene of their own. 🍽Dining Recommendation: Meishan Restaurant Stir-fried mushrooms with bacon, stir-fried wild boletus, stir-fried shredded potatoes. During the tourist season, it's crowded, but the taste is really good. We ate there twice in two days. ✅Must Experience: Kangding Food Market On the way back to Chengdu, take a stroll through the Kangding Food Market. You'll return fully loaded with various sizes of red apples, Kangding Ganzi beef and mutton, yak yogurt... There are so many local products you'll want to buy and take home.
