The distant mountains are calling me.

The weather was really nice during the days we were there. We took a direct bus from Libo Xiaoqikong to Qianhu Miao Village, which took about three and a half hours. It was raining heavily when we arrived in the afternoon. The local weather is said to be unpredictable. We bought tickets to enter the village (you can buy tickets on the mini program or directly at the visitor center, and enter by swiping your ID card). Night had already fallen, and the Miao Village looked beautiful with its twinkling lights. We queued for the shuttle bus to enter the village. We booked a homestay in advance, and the owner came to pick us up at the archway, helped us with our luggage, and handled the check-in. Our homestay was not far from the archway, conveniently located on the edge of the commercial street. Although it was a bit noisy, we were too tired from the journey to care about the surroundings. There are also houses halfway up the mountain that probably have a better view, but you have to drag your luggage up the steps and can only walk, so we gave up on that idea. After all, you can still climb up to see the scenery even if you don't live on the mountain. It turns out that the steps are very narrow and steep, and the scenery is even more unique. Compared to the night view, I prefer the feeling of the sun shining on the tiled wooden houses in the Miao Village during the day. The blue sky and white clouds make for great photos. Of course, the Miao Village has become very commercialized, and there is a wide variety of food available. We bought some local pork skewers in the village several times, each with its own unique flavor. Pay attention to the differences. The most memorable one was the first one we had upon entering the village (maybe it was the first impression). Our tickets included the sightseeing bus in the village. We were able to board quickly after queuing. We were short on time, but we went up the mountain for a look, and it was definitely worth it. The round trip, including taking photos, took less than an hour. When we left, we took a direct bus from the passenger station outside the village to the high-speed rail station. It was truly a relaxing and enjoyable trip.🧳
