Mangshi, Yunnan| Time is slow, Mangshi is not busy

Mangshi, the capital of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, is the most southwestern border town in Yunnan, where five ethnic minorities and Han people have lived for generations. It is located on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, belongs to the South Asian monsoon climate, with an average annual temperature of 20°C, which can be described as 'no severe cold in winter, no extreme heat in summer, flowers bloom all year round, and fruits are produced all year round'. Mangshi was formerly known as 'Menghuan', which means 'City of Dawn' in Dai language. It is said that when Buddha came to Mangshi, the sky was just dawning, and what he saw was the dawn, which also represents hope and devotion. The landmark of Mangshi, 'Menghuan Golden Pagoda', is the first golden Buddha pagoda in China and the first hollow Buddha pagoda in Asia. Menghuan Silver Pagoda, if the golden pagoda is regarded as the sun of Mangshi, the silver pagoda is the moon. The two look at each other, guarding this small city together. Bodhi Temple, a Theravada Buddhist temple, is also a well-preserved Southern Buddhist temple. Tree-wrapped Pagoda, there is a pagoda in the tree, and a tree in the pagoda, which makes people marvel at the wonder of nature. The 'Tree-wrapped Pagoda', also known as the 'Iron City Buddha Pagoda', is said to have been built by the 17th Tusi of Mangshi to commemorate the victory of a war, which is about two hundred years ago. Mangshi Street, Bodhi Street, the city overlooks from the Golden Pagoda viewing platform, and the street scene in the direction of Tengchong when leaving Mangshi.
