China's earliest New Year is deep in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon

November 14th coincides with the first day of the tenth month of the Tibetan calendar, and the Gongbu Tibetans in Nyingchi City, Tibet, ushered in China's earliest New Year - Gongbu New Year. Suosong Village in Milin City, Nyingchi City, is located at the foot of Namjagbarwa Peak in the Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon. Tsering Dunzhu, 40, and Laba Zhuoma, 38, live here. The traditional Gongbu New Year is the most important festival in the family. Folk activities such as "inviting dogs to the feast" and eating "Jieda" make the ceremony full. The Gongbu New Year has a history of more than 1,000 years. During the festival, the masses will wear beautiful clothes, sing and dance, greet each other, and welcome the New Year.
