Yuantong Lecture Temple in Mudanjiang

Yuantong Lecture Temple Mudanjiang·Heilongjiang Yuantong Lecture Temple in Mudanjiang is located at the foot of the beautiful Jinlong Mountain (North Mountain) in Mudanjiang City, where the "dragon plays with the pearl", and several new-style antique buildings such as the mountain gate, the Heavenly King Hall, and the Lecture Hall stand tall and present to people. Tracing back to the hundred-year history of Mudanjiang City, there is no Buddhist temple. In 1993, representatives of the majority of Buddhists in Mudanjiang City went to Harbin to contact the Provincial Buddhist Association and invited the respected Master Rongguang and Master Genshan, who graduated from Nanjing Buddhist College in China, to establish a Buddhist dojo in Mudanjiang. In just a few years, Master Rongguang and the two monks, under the attention and care of the relevant departments of the Mudanjiang City Government and the Heilongjiang Provincial Buddhist Association, have been promoting the Dharma and benefiting the living, while grasping the basic construction, everything is from nothing, self-raising funds, after a few years of hard journey, with an extraordinary construction speed, completed the main building of the temple, the temple has formed a certain scale of antique buildings. The main hall on the central axis has a mountain gate, the Heavenly King Hall, Yuantong Bao Hall, and the east and west gate towers, east and west side rooms, bell tower and drum tower are symmetrically distributed on both sides of the mountain gate, and the side hall has the Three Saints Hall, the Earth Store Hall, the Buddha Recitation Hall, the Five Observations Hall, the Cloud Water Hall, etc. On September 5, 2009, the Yuantong Lecture Temple was opened. Yuantong Lecture Temple is the largest Guanyin Bodhisattva dojo in the northern part of China, covering an area of more than 30,000 square meters and a total construction area of about 5,000 square meters. The establishment of Yuantong Temple ended the absence of Buddhist temples in Mudanjiang City. Yuantong Lecture Temple is not only a place for Buddhist believers to practice, but also a tourist attraction for citizens. Transportation, within Mudanjiang City, take bus No. 18 and get off at the terminal Yuantong Lecture Temple.
