This gem is one of the oldest and most visited Japanese-inspired gardens outside Japan, a testament to the timeless allure of Japanese landscape design. Combining the ancient hill-and-pond style with the more recent stroll-garden style, this garden is an artful balance of tradition and innovation. The journey through its winding paths revealed a series of carefully orchestrated scenes: the undulating contours of artificial hills around a pond, a waterfall cascading with a gentle roar, and an island standing as an epitome of solitude.
