Phuket Ethical Elephant Sanctuary

The elephants here are rescued and well taken care of by the staff and volunteers. We took the elephant rides to go through the forest. It was such an adventurous and fun experience. Each elephant has their own name and character. I tried to talk to mine and she seems to understand. The elephant's hair is spiky. You will feel it when you sit on it. Along the way, there are rivers, waterfalls, unique flora and fauna, rubber trees and more. Some of the roads are narrow, the elephants and trainers have their special way to give way to each other. At the end of the journey, we bought some food to feed the elephants. Worth visiting to help the "retired" elephants to live in peace and not be hurt by others.
