Pingxiang is the birthplace of the workers' revolutionary movement in China

Pingxiang is the birthplace of the workers' revolutionary movement in China. The Pingxiang Martyrs' Memorial Hall is located next to the former site of the Anyuan Road Miners' Club. Completed in 1984, it is a one-story cement brick and tile structure with an area of 300 square meters. The name of the museum, Pingxiang Martyrs' Memorial Hall, is inscribed on the top of the main entrance by Kong Yuan, a member of the Central Advisory Committee from Pingxiang. The museum mainly displays the heroic deeds of martyrs such as Huang Jingyuan, Liu Changyan, Zhu Shaolian, Wang Lushui, Gao Zili, Deng Zhenqian, etc. The content of the whole museum is divided into a preface hall and three parts. The preface hall is lined with Mao Zedong's inscriptions for the martyrs. Under the inscription, there are green pines and wreaths. The first part is the period of the New Democratic Revolution, the second part is the period of the Socialist Revolution, and the third part is to commemorate the martyrs and carry forward.
