Zhejiang Quzhou - Beimen Street Historic and Cultural District

Beimen Street Historic and Cultural District is located in the center of Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It covers an area of over 40,000 square meters. It is an important part of the overall protection framework of Quzhou, a historical and cultural city, which is characterized by 'one river, six gates, two districts, and one core'. It is one of the only two remaining historic and cultural districts in Quzhou City. The south end of Beimen Street is marked by the iconic building of Quzhou City in the past, the three-story bell tower, which stands particularly tall. The scenic area also contains many historical relics such as the Zhaobian Ancestral Hall, Kong Family Residence, and Sijiao Gate Hall. The district is protected and repaired according to the principle of 'repairing the old as it was, preserving its authenticity'. It has restored the memory of old Quzhou life and introduced cultural industries such as curios, antiques, and stone play.
