Awesome views in Santorini

We stayed in this lovely apartment with a private pool for 3 nights. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean and the views from our balcony was amazingly breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We have travelled to many places around the world and Santorini has to be one of my favourite destination. Santorini is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. It was devastated by a volcanic eruption in the 16th century BC, therefore shaping its rugged landscape. The whitewashed, cubiform houses of its 2 principal towns, Fira and Oia, clings to these rugged cliffs above an underwater caldera (crater). They overlook the sea, small islands to the west and beaches made up of black, red and white lava pebbles. Everywhere you walk along the cliff walk, the views of the caldera is breathtaking. The best views can also be enjoyed if you take a hike from Fira to Oia. Along the way you will pass beautiful Skaros Rock. Best to get here in the evening as you don’t want to miss the gorgeous sunset and take amazing sunset photos. There are many cafes and restaurants along the way so you can take a break and enjoy a drink and meal whilst taking in the gorgeous caldera views.
