Route 66 End of the Trail

Location: Route 66 End of the Trail Address: 330 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA 90401, United States U.S. Route 66, also known as the Will Rogers Highway, the Main Street of America or the Mother Road, was one of the original highways in the U.S. Highway System. US 66 was established on November 11, 1926, with road signs erected the following year. The route is 3,940 km with Santa Monica being the extreme west end of it. The 'Santa Monica Pier Bait & Tackle' also known as 'The Last Stop' of the famous Route 66 has a tribute wall in memory of Robert Waldmire famous Mother Road Artist located at the Western end of the Santa Monica Pier. There is also a flight of wooden stairs with neat rows of commemorative plaque on each steps eight next to the tribute wall. This is a great place to stop by if you are visiting the Santa Monica Pier. #createwithtrip
