Neuschwanstein Castle is the main destination for most travelers flocking to this corner of southern Germany, located at the end of Germany's famous Romantic Road. The castle, considered the prototype for Disney's castle, is undoubtedly the most famous castle in Germany and even the world. The most worth seeing are the Throne Hall (Thronsaal) without a throne and the Opera Hall (Sängersaal) for performing Wagner's operas. King Ludwig II himself was very fond of swans. In addition to naming the castle after swans, there are also a large number of swan-shaped furniture in the castle. Visitors to Neuschwanstein Castle can only enter and tour according to the designated tour batch time indicated on their purchased tickets, and must follow the guide. Photography is not allowed inside the castle. Because the number of visitors entering the castle is limited during each time slot, tickets purchased at the ticket office may require waiting for the next available tour batch, and if there are many people, the timing may be difficult to manage and may even affect subsequent travel plans. It is recommended to plan ahead and make reservations for tickets during peak season. The ticket office of Neuschwanstein Castle is located at the foot of the mountain, very close to the bus station and parking lot, but there is still a long way to go to reach the castle. You can choose to walk, take a carriage or a bus. Actually, it's not that far, you can get there in half an hour. Along the way, there are cafes where you can take a break, it's not tiring at all.
