Shanghai's "most expensive" temple - Jing'an Temple

Jing'an Temple is a famous landmark in Shanghai, known as the most "expensive" temple in Shanghai, with a land price exceeding 2.8 billion. No matter when, it is always in the top three of the tourist check-in list. Located in the golden business district, Jing'an Temple, although in the hustle and bustle, is quiet in the noise, as if it is in a secluded mountain forest. Looking at the entire temple from a distance, a golden roof is particularly eye-catching. The architectural style of the temple combines Tibetan temples. The temple is composed of three main buildings: the Daxiong Hall, the Heavenly King Hall, and the Three Saints Hall. The architectural style imitates the architectural features of the Ming Dynasty and before, with the characteristics of large scale and rigorous workmanship. The silver Buddha enshrined in the Daxiong Hall weighs 15 tons. The Jing'an Pagoda is also quite distinctive. Unlike the usual round tower, it is a 7-story flat square, cast in bronze, with a gold surface, especially golden and brilliant. Jing'an Temple is full of incense, and every time a Bodhisattva's birthday or anniversary, the temple will hold a Dharma meeting. On the eighth day of the lunar April, it is also the Bathing Buddha Festival.
