Shaoxing still keeps its secrets well, with so many fun places to explore!

I've been to Shaoxing many times, and with the subway now open, I go there every month. I once thought all the fun in Shaoxing was in Yuecheng District. This time, taking advantage of the new Marriott opening in Shangyu District, I spent two days and one night touring Shangyu thoroughly. I must say, there are really a lot of fun and interesting places in Shangyu, to the extent that 18 pictures are not enough to show them all. - 📖Sharing my two-day Shangyu travel guide Day1️⃣ Depart from Hangzhou ➡️ Head straight to Shangyu Museum ➡️ Walk to Zhongxin Art Museum ➡️ Walk to Xiaode Garden ➡️ Check into Shangyu Marriott Hotel ➡️ Dine at the hotel Day2️⃣ Hotel breakfast ➡️ Hongyi Park ➡️ Duobao Lecture Temple ➡️ Fenghui Ancient Town ➡️ Baima Chunhui ➡️ Return trip ✅A few spots I think are very 👍🏻 1️⃣Shangyu Museum (reservation on-site) The museum has two main exhibition halls worth visiting, with a grand and exquisite layout, a dazzling array of porcelain exhibits, and an immersive Liangzhu story exhibition area, offering a rich experience. 2️⃣Zhongxin Art Museum (no reservation needed, enter with ID card) The most surprising spot of the entire trip, entering the museum is like visiting a Chinese garden, with a view at every step. The collection inside amazed me, with the owner having collected many Ming and Qing dynasty antiques and displaying many exquisite artworks, truly top-notch! However, it's open for a very short time each day Only from 8:30 to 11:00 and 12:30 to 15:50 3️⃣Fenghui Ancient Town (free admission) Although Fenghui Ancient Town is a bit far from Shangyu city area, it's worth a visit. The ancient town is quite original, mostly inhabited by locals, with some local snacks on the streets. It's a bit more lively on weekends and holidays. Those who like Jiangnan water town architecture can go there specifically to check in. - ✅About accommodation This time I stayed at the newly opened Shangyu Marriott Hotel, not far from 'Shaoxing East Station' and 'Shangyu Station'. The design incorporates features of Jiangnan water towns, and the facilities like the gym, yoga room, and swimming pool are spacious and clean. I booked a basic room on the 9th floor with a great view, including a bathtub, plus a large sofa and a desk. Marriott's dining is really good, with over 100 breakfast options, and they serve until 10 am. For dinner, I tried their hot pot buffet, with unlimited seafood, freshly sliced beef that was filling, and there was a music performance to watch for 🆓. Additionally, you can have their seafood paella for lunch, which is quite generous! In terms of details, the swimming pool is clean with a comfortable water temperature, the gym provides towels for sweating, the restaurant service is responsive, and the bathroom has a seat for showering, etc. The stay experience was quite good.
