Stroll through the century-old commercial port of Taishan, known as 'Little Guangzhou'

On the way to Taishan city, you will pass through Gongyi Village. As a former commercial hotspot of Taishan, it's still a place I want to visit. Gongyi Ancient Port has a developed waterway transportation with its harbor🌊. It was once called 'New York Street' and 'Little Guangzhou'. 'Zhongxing Street' inside is the financial street, with banks🏦, gold shops, money houses, and silver firms all concentrated here. Now you can still see the signs of 'Juchanglong Silver Firm' and 'MO LUNG BANK'. Most of the buildings here are arcade-style, and the street planning is neat and orderly. It seems to have been roughly renovated. Walking to the end of the small street, you will reach the Tanjiang River, where many ships carrying sand and stones are docked. If you are tired from walking, you can rest at the nearby 🍵 Gongyi Teahouse. It is a very nostalgic old-style teahouse, an authentic local establishment. ▫️ 📌Tips: 1. It's best to prepare mosquito repellent and other items🦟; 2. Many villagers still live here, please do not disturb the residents when visiting and taking photos, and try to speak softly; 3. Be mindful of sun protection☀️ on sunny days and try to wear a hat or use an umbrella; 4.
