Baizhang Gorge

The scenic area is located in Baizhang Gorge Town, Wencheng County, about 100 kilometers from Wenzhou City. It is now known as the Liu Bowen Hometown Scenic Area (5A) together with Liu Ji Temple. The north gate of the scenic area has a parking lot, catering and other businesses, generally enter from the north gate, and then go down all the way, the whole journey takes about two hours. The scenery in the early stage is less, only the rumbling sound of water can be heard. To see the Baizhang Gorge, you have to go down. After turning over a sail peak, you can see the waterfall that flows down from the top of the mountain. This is still the largest drop in the three gorges, the sound of water is like thunder, and the mist is pervasive (fortunately, the scenic area gives each person a disposable raincoat). Continue forward, climb over a slope and arrive at the second gorge. This is the most fun in the three gorges. There is a water curtain cave behind the waterfall, which is slightly larger than the Huangguoshu Water Curtain Cave, and the road is also flat. But the water volume is not small, the mist in the cave is misty, and the disposable raincoat still needs to be used. When you arrive at the third gorge, you are about to leave the scenic area. The terrain here is relatively flat, the drop is small, but the water volume is huge, and the sound of water is like thunder. Exit the south gate of the scenic area, there is Baizhang Gorge Hydropower Station. Further ahead is the scenic area transportation car (10 yuan), returning to the north gate parking lot. The Liu Ji Temple is 13 kilometers away from the Baizhang Gorge Scenic Area, so there is no special trip to worship.
