GIANT Buddha - Leshan

Carved out of a hillside, overlooking the confluence of two rivers - this site is a testament to the dedication and skill of ancient Chinese craftsmen. The hike offers amazing views of the statue as well as the surrounding areas - rivers and the city. Visitors can take a boat to get a complete front view of the statue, however, that option was not available during our visit. The trip was worth it nevertheless. Bring some snack and plenty of water - refueling options on the site are existent, but limited. We drove our own car, but the public transport options seemed plenty, as it is rather developed tourist area. Comfy shoes, and get ready to explore this amazing place. #view #sichuan #hiking
