Windsor Castle - a home & fortress

Everyone knows the British monarchy and its great to have the chance to visit the fortress and their home at Windsor castle. There are a lot of tour options from London and we took the package with Stonehenge & Windsor castle day trip. This world-famous castle was Queen Elizabeth of England’s fave weekend home. Unfortunately she wasn’t home during our visit (joke😉). We were ushered to the different sections like the state and the semi-state apartments with various art display and luxurious furniture. Note that you’re not allowed to take photos of some of the rooms. We were also charmed by the voices of the children’s choir rehearsing Christmas songs. It was nice to explore the castle grounds on our own and while wandering around St George’s chapel, we were in luck to witness the changing of guards. A well-worth day trip👍🏼
