Intangible Cultural Heritage: The Lord Zhang's Patrol of Longhu Palace in Tong'an

Zhang Xun, Suiyang, Yongqiu, the An-Shi Rebellion... It seems to have nothing to do with Xiamen at all. But in this seaside town, the activities honoring Zhang Xun are more fervent than anywhere else. Yesterday was the day of the Lord Zhang's patrol of Longhu Palace in Tong'an. The parade circled around more than half of Tong'an city and returned to Longhu Palace. Vehicles along the way stopped to give way, and the local people set off firecrackers in unison, seeing off their loyal and heroic hero back to the palace.
