This is my first time coming to Xinyi, Maoming, and I don't want to leave once I've arrived. Living in Guangzhou, I often get tired of going to Conghua, Huizhou, Qingyuan, so I thought about going somewhere I've never been before. Taking advantage of the three-day Dragon Boat Festival, with the Sanhua plums and lychees in season, I made a trip to Maoming. Upon arriving in Xinyi, I looked for a place to eat and saw the top-ranked Cantonese restaurant 'Puzhu Shui', so I ended up going to Shuanghe Village by mistake. I was amazed as soon as I arrived; it turns out this is the famous Chinese Plum Village, known for its Sanhua plums. There are vast orchards of plum trees, the soil mixed with the fragrance of fruit. Many elderly people in the village sell Sanhua plums right outside their homes, very large ones, for 5 yuan per half kilogram, and you can pick them yourself. They keep inviting you to eat more. As night falls, the warm street lights give off the feeling of a thousand families' lights. Of course, the food is also stunning. The scallion oil chicken is fragrant from smell to taste, and I still miss that flavor now. I casually ordered a wild vegetable dish, stir-fried with garlic and fermented black beans, which tasted like fava beans with a slightly bitter aftertaste that's also sweet. Compared to a well-planned trip, I absolutely love the surprise of 'stumbling upon a peach blossom forest', and I recommend it to everyone too~ Shuanghe Village, Qianpai Town, Xinyi There is also a Sanhua plum-themed park nearby that you can visit.
