Valley of the Kings and Temple of Queen Hatsheput
We started a packed tour in Luxor with our first stop at Valley of the Kings, The Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Amazing to see the detail of the drawings on the walls, it looks a couple of years old, amazing that they've preserved it so well over the years. Tour guides tell the story beforehand because they are not to talk and explain inside the temples, it helps that you know the story when you go in and see the story on the wall. Hasteput was scorching hot we were in and out under 30 minutes. I would say this was least impressive of all the temples we've seen in Luxor.

Valley of the Kings 😍
Okay so Valley of the Kings was BONKERS.
It's a series of tombs carved into a mountain range and all decorated with beautiful hieroglyphics and art. Many of the colours are still near-perfectly preserved. It was really mind blowing
I've only ever watched documentaries and read books about ancient Egypt, imagining what it would be like to see it in person. I still can't believe I did and let me tell you, it was amazing ( To think I stood in a place that was built thousands of years ago, seeing the craft of ancient Egyptians and their way of life. It's a feeling I can't describe

Abu Simbel Temples Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Abu Simbel Temple 🛕, Aswan, Egypt 🇪🇬
#wecreate
The Abu Simbel Temples in southern Egypt are a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for their grandeur and historical significance. Carved out of a mountainside, the temples feature colossal statues and intricate reliefs.
The complex consists of two main temples, the Great Temple of Ramses II standing at about 98 feet (30 meters) tall and the smaller Temple of Hathor dedicated to Ramses II's wife, Queen Nefertari
What makes the Temples particularly remarkable is the incredible engineering feat that took place in the 1960s during the construction of the Aswan High Dam and the resulting formation of Lake Nasser. To save the temples from being submerged, an international effort was undertaken to relocate the entire complex to higher ground, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
Top 5 travel tips ~
1️⃣ Visit early morning to avoid the crowds and heat
2️⃣ Book transportation in advance, as Abu Simbel is about a 4-hour drive from Aswan (about 280 kilometers)
3️⃣ Hire a local guide or join a guided tour to learn about the fascinating history and significance of the temples
4️⃣ Don't forget to capture the beautiful moments
5️⃣ Take your time to explore both the Great Temple of Ramses II and the smaller Temple of Hathor

TheTravelingSuitcase (@thetravelingsuitcasee) Mesmerising Abu Simbel temples
This time last year I visited Egypt for the first time and couldn't miss the two Abu Simbel temples. Located in the south near Sudan, you can fly to Aswan then make a long day trip to Abu Simbel.
The temples pay homage to Rameses II, often regarded as the greatest pharaoh of them all. The temples were famously moved in the 1960s, and painstakingly reassembled to avoid the rising river Nile.

Abu Simbel temple exploration
Abu Simbel was part of our Nile cruise trip through Egypt. From Aswan it is a multiple hour drive to get to the tempels of Pharao Ramsesses II and his wife Nefertari. Judging from the beautiful decorated tempel of Nefertari it is clear that Ramesses really loved his wife. But he probably loved himself a bit more since he granted himself the larger temple. Definitely worth the visit if you have the time to spare!
a must visit if you’re in Egypt!
Getting There - by flight, train or bus
Attractions - With Aswan the closest town to Ramses II's colossal temples of Abu Simbel, the island temple of Philae, and the Nile-side Temple of Kom Ombo, there are plenty of things to do within day-tripping distance.
The best way to discover Aswan's charms, and the most relaxing sightseeing experience, is to hop aboard a felucca (traditional sailboat) and view town from the watery highway that once made Aswan an important trading post.
If you have time for only one day trip from Aswan, pick a visit to Abu Simbel.
Built by Ramses II, and saved from destruction by a remarkable UNESCO rescue project in the 1970s, Abu Simbel is not only a triumph of ancient architecture, but also of modern engineering.
Hotels - a lots of hotel but my stay was on the cruise to explore my luxor aswan trip! 😍
Food & Restaurants - should try their local food!
Shopping - shops their handmade products by the local in nubian village.

White Desert Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Stunning white desert in Egypt
1st experience at White Desert, Egypt.
Spent 2 days a night there and it's really a wonderful trip.
During the trip, we visited Black desert and spring water oasis as well. We also enjoyed 4x4 car sand dune on the desert, it was fun and exciting.
During sunset, we played sand boarding and watched beautiful sunset too.
At night we sat surrounded a camp fire amd having our dinner. We were very lucky to see Milky-way on that night and shooting plenty of great photos.
Sunrise was in front of our camping tent the next morning. It is really a stunning view.
There is no toilet and sleeping area for visitors. You can set up your tents anyway.
With tour they have their own specific tent (for kitchen) set, so your sleeping tents will be set up at that area.
There are few landmarks in white desert like 'Mushroom and chicken' stones because the shapes are similar to mushroom and chicken.
This is a good experience and sure memorable.
Al farafra desert
we are do hiking on this desert and try to take many shot for this compaction
sure we are doing combing in tent for 4 nights #egypt #desert
Mesmerizing White Desert, Egypt
Reflecting on my trip to the White Desert in Egypt, it was quite the journey from Cairo, but the payoff was beyond breathtaking. The unique landscape is truly unparalleled. We were treated to a sunset straight out of a fairy tale and a sky filled with stars at night. Though it was chilly after dark, the experience was unforgettable. I highly recommend it for nature enthusiasts. #Egypt #whitedesert
Scenes not of this Earth
The Black and White Desert in Egypt is a mysterious expanse, half ablaze, half oceanic. The desert surface displays a dichotomy of colors, with one side covered in black volcanic pebbles and the other side in white rocks shaped by erosion, creating a unique landscape of bizarre rock formations and mushroom cloud vistas. This desert is known as a 'landscape not of this Earth.' It exudes an air of mystery and is located near the Nile River. The reason for the Black and White Desert's appearance is that it was once volcanic, which is why it is black. Today, the desert is covered with a layer of black earth stones. The other half dates back to 40 million years ago when this area was an ocean. Over time, the sedimentation of marine life and subsequent erosion formed these strange rock formations. These rocks are all exposed, resembling a white ocean.

Abu Simbel Temple
Abu Simbel Temple - the temple of Ramses II, which has a history of more than 3300 years, is next to the Hathor Temple, built for his beloved wife. Ramses II, as one of the greatest pharaohs in ancient Egypt, is also said to be the brother of Moses.
The temple was flooded due to the construction of the Aswan Dam, and five countries helped to relocate it for four years, finally restoring its original appearance. There are many small caves in the temple, with many exquisite murals inside. February 22 and October 22 each year are the spectacle of the Sun Festival, illuminating the statue of Ramses II at the end of the temple, but it will never shine on the dark god, which science cannot explain to this day (Figure 4).
You have to set off at four in the morning, a seven-hour round trip from Aswan, and you can watch the sunrise by the way. The group fee is 70 US dollars per person for carpooling, and the free travel carpooling is 25 US dollars per person. The ticket price of 615 Egyptian pounds is calculated separately. The price during the Sun Festival is 915 Egyptian pounds. Distance is the biggest problem, but it's worth seeing once in a lifetime.
Stepping into the ancient Egypt in history books
Never thought that one day I could touch the pyramids of five thousand years, the golden mask Pharaoh Tutankhamun, Cleopatra of Egypt, these people and things that only appear in movies and history textbooks.
Until standing in the products of thousands of years of civilization, it still feels unreal. The civilization and people of a thousand years ago leap on paper and in carvings. Even though humans have entered the web 3.0 era, the architectural and artistic achievements of that time are still incredible feats today.
I can't believe that thousands of years ago, without iron tools, relying only on stone tools, people were able to complete the construction of giant pyramids and obelisks hundreds of meters high by chiseling and hammering stones.
The main tourist spots in Egypt are centered around Cairo and are divided into three lines:
1. South line: Luxor Aswan Temple, tomb line
The most popular route with the most tourists in Egypt, the essence of ancient Egyptian civilization along the Nile River, a large number of exquisite temples, Abu Simbel, Valley of the Kings (Pharaoh's tomb group), hot air balloons, Nile cruise ships are all on this line, and it is also a disaster area for tourists being scammed.
2. East line: along the Red Sea
Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Mount Sinai, a paradise for diving enthusiasts, the cheapest place in the world for diving certification, OW+AOW around 35💲
3. North line: Mediterranean, Siwa Oasis
- Far away from the scamming south line, the north line is the pure land of Egypt
- The homeland of Cleopatra, where ancient Egyptian civilization was gradually eroded by ancient Rome, Alexandria
- The Tiffany blue glass sea Matruh, which is more beautiful than the Red Sea
- Far away from mainland Egypt, the lost desert oasis Siwa in Assassin's Creed Origins (palm groves, Sahara desert, salt lakes, hot springs, Berber mud houses Shali, flamingos)

Egypt | Abu Simbel Temple
🌅Due to changes in the itinerary, we had to depart in the early morning and unexpectedly witnessed the sunrise, which was still very satisfying. The dim morning light shone on the towering statue, adding a touch of mystery.
🏯The Abu Simbel Temple is said to be named after the guide who first took Westerners to the site. It consists of a gate built into the cliff, a giant statue of Ramses II, rock carvings, front and rear halls, and a shrine.
🗿The Abu Simbel Temple was built in the 13th century BC by Ramses II, the 19th dynasty of the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt, and has a history of 3300 years. The temple consists of two giant temples carved from rock, dedicated to the gods Ptah, Amun-Ra, Harahty, and the deified Ramses II, and the nearby small temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Ramses II's favorite wife, Queen Nefertari.
Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut
The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple of Ancient Egypt located near Luxor. Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut. It is considered as one of the most beautiful of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. It is located at Deir el-Bahri which is in the left bank of the Nile river. The king of Egypt had to build tombs and temples to honour the gods and pharaohs and keep their memories alive for all time. Queen Hatshepsut gave the order to build this beautiful temple. She took about fifteen years to build the temple, which told the story of her life. Bring plenty of water and expect to spend between 1 to 2 hours visiting this place.

This is Egypt
I was so happy to visit Egypt. This is the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut in Luxor city. It was built during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty. It is definitely HUGE and it was carved on the stones. 😱 The entrance fee cost less than 3 euros and you can go inside - unfortunately many os the statues inside were destroyed over time. Definitely worth the visit!

Ballon ride in Luxor/Egypt is a MUST
I was super scare about riding a ballon since I haven’t done it before but it’s a MUST. It is really cheap in Egypt comparing to other places in the world. We paid 60 dolares per person and it was amazing. It was completely safe. It is not scare at all! I’m usually scared about being high but I felt safe. Please ride a Ballon in your trip to Egypt. You can even see the Valley of the Kings, where they secret buried all the pharaohs. You will never forget it!
