"Must-Visit Spot in Australia" - Busselton Jetty: Emerald Sea, Longest Wooden Pier, Important Seaport.
Busselton Jetty is the longest wooden pier in the Southern Hemisphere, with a total length of 1,841 meters. It is a famous tourist spot in Western Australia, extending from the coast to the sea. The sea under the afternoon sun is emerald, like semi-solid jelly, transparent and viscous; the sea and sky are in the distance, and time seems to stop here. Busselton Jetty was built in 1865, and there is a small train on it. It served as an important seaport for more than a century. It is the filming location of the movie "Spirited Away".

📎1.8 km over Geographe Bay
📎2.35 hrs from Perth City
Extending 1.841 kilometres over the protected waters of Geographe Bay, the heritage listed Busselton Jetty is the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere and is home to one of six Underwater Observatories in the world!
The jetty features a rail line along its length, a relic of the railway line into Busselton from Bunbury. The line now carries tourists along the jetty to an underwater observatory, one of only six natural aquariums in the world.
The Jetty. The Jetty structure is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we only charge the $4 walk entry during operating hours.

The Very Kids Friendly Busselton Jetty
We went to Busselton as a pit stop on the way back to Perth City from Margaret River. The jetty is 1.845km long where you can choose to walk or take the train which will bring you to the end of the jetty. There is a little aquarium at the end. As we did that the previous trip, we decided to just have a meal there and have some fun at the playground for the kids. There are restaurant along the area, most notably is Shelter Brewery where we had lunch. The area around the jetty is very kids friendly with numerous playgrounds which caters to preschoolers all the way to older kids. It was a fantastic afternoon spent there and definitely a great trip to start off the new year!

Busselton Jetty
#australiatrip Good place to visit with kids, for swimming, diving, snorkeling and fishing. There is something to do for everyone. We visited on a sunday and the train was booked out for the next 2hours when we arrived. It's possible to walk on it but if you want to experience the train better Book in advance. The walk is about 20min one way. Better put sunscreen on and have a water bottle with you.

Lovely Busselton Jetty Train Ride
The very relax and fun train ride at Busselton Jetty, Perth. It is 1.8meter long and it is said to be the longest wooden structure in the Southern Hemisphere. The iconic Busselton Jetty, stretching over 1.8 kilometers into the crystal-clear waters of Geographe Bay, is a remarkable sight. Walking along the jetty was a serene and picturesque experience, with stunning ocean views in every direction. There is also a red train you can take that brings you to the end of the jetty and back.
Busselton Jetty's location made it an ideal spot for picnicking, fishing, or simply relaxing by the water. The tranquil surroundings and the gentle lapping of the waves made it a peaceful escape.

Busselton Jetty for a wonderful morning!
Always remember to plan a trip a day trip from Perth to the Busselton Jetty. Good place to bring kids and the elderly along. You can either walk along the jetty or take the train to bring you to the end of the jetty. Otherwise, have a short walk along the beaches and see the jetty from a distance. Definitely a stopover spot if you are on your way to Margaret River or vice versa.

Epic view from Busselton Jetty ❤️
Take a day trip from Perth to the South West of Western Australia to see this view and so much more! Sunrise or sunset it’s amazing view and free to walk the length of the Busselton Jetty (outside business hours) which is an impressive 1,841 metres (6,040 ft). The jetty is said to be the longest wooden structure in the Southern Hemisphere. You can even ride a train on it, do some fishing, and visit an underwater observatory at the end of it (you’ll need tickets for this from the kiosk) #busselton #southwestaustralia #westernaustralia #familytravel #Southernhemisphere
