Rotterdam, rising from the ruins
Rotterdam was completely destroyed during the Second World War, and from the ruins one of the most unique cities in the Netherlands was born. Although it is only slightly smaller than Amsterdam, it has completely different atmosphere. The largest port in Europe is located in Rotterdam. You can get to Rotterdam from Amsterdam by intercity train for 16 euros. Leave the central station and walk in any direction you like. The beauties of the city will find you.
Best places to visit:

innovative Cube House in Rotterdam
This line of cubic shape houses called the Cubehouse was built nearly 40 years ago and located in the center of Rotterdam. Each apartment has three levels and is accessed by steep staircase. The interior is cleverly designed and includes all the usual rooms such as bedrooms , kitchen, bathroom, and even an attic to chill out . While all of the apartments are for residential purposes, one of them is opened to visitors as a museum with a small entrance fee of £3.
Definitely one of the must see buildings if you are visiting Rotterdam on an architectural journey. #urbanexplorer #thenetherlands #unique #architecture #rotterdam

It is the best place to visit in Rotterdam. In a sunny day the best spot to take artistic photos as well.
Nice thing about it that it is in city center and only 10 minutes walk from stations.

Rotterdam, Netherlands. This modern artistic city of Netherlands holds an amazing history. This city was completely destroyed during the world war 2 and completely built form a scratch. Hence, different than any other european cities I have visited, this city architectural designs are all modern style. Love the atmosphere and the arts here. #merrychristmas

Stayed in a super fun hotel
Rotterdam has many unique houses, and Rubik's Cube is one of the most famous buildings. Walking in the city is like walking in the whimsy of the architects.
It was almost razed to the ground during World War II, and most of the buildings are now rebuilt after the war.
This is very similar to Chicago. Destruction is another rebirth.

Our family visit to the Cube Houses in Rotterdam, Netherlands, was a fascinating architectural journey. Stepping into these innovative homes, we were immediately struck by their unconventional design and futuristic vibe. The kids were intrigued by the tilted angles and unique interiors, feeling like they had stepped into a real-life puzzle. It was an immersive experience that sparked our curiosity about modern architecture and urban living.
As for our next family travel destination, I dream of exploring the ancient wonders of Egypt. We'll wander through the majestic pyramids of Giza, cruise along the tranquil waters of the Nile River, and marvel at the intricate hieroglyphics in ancient temples. It promises to be a journey through history and mythology, filled with awe-inspiring monuments and cultural encounters that will leave a lasting impression on all of us.

Rotterdam is a city with many modern buildings, the tallest building in the Netherlands, the suspension bridge Erasmus Bridge, and the tallest office building in Europe. However, our first stop in Rotterdam chose the square cube house in the city. This is not a single, but a unique complex of 51 cube houses. This was built in 1984 by the architect Piet Blom. Although there are 51 houses, only 38 are private residences, others are some shops. Nowadays, with more and more people visiting, it has become a photo spot for Rotterdam's net red card.
block three-dimensional cabin, like a Rubik's cube with a diagonally placed. The appearance can be free to visit, but to enter the room is to buy tickets. Before I went in, I always felt that the space inside was probably small and a bit crowded, but after I went in, I found that there was still three layers in a small box, and the beds and tables inside did not make people feel tilted.
If you want to experience the cube house in depth, the most convenient way is to stay for one night. There is an international youth hostel here, you can stay for about 20 euros a night, it must be a special experience.

The unique architectural design has attracted countless people to come to the card. The whole box house is in a state of 45 degree tilt. The people living in it live freely. If you want to experience it, you can also enter the youth tour and feel it.
In fact, it is a normal life state, but the angle of the outside is incredible.
