Ta Phrom Temple - Siem Reap
#exploreasia
Ta Phrom is a part of small circuit of Angkor Complex and it is just few minutes away from the Angkor Wat by driving the tuk tuk.
Other than Angkor Wat, this is 1 of the most popular temple that all the foreign tourists will visit to see the enormous tree roots and leaves that intertwined with the ancient building structure.
High recommend to bring along your kids to learn some ancient stories and explore the nooks and crannies 👍🏻👍🏻

❤️ a temple that co-exists with nature❤️

Ta Prohm is famously known as the Tomb Raider temple after it appeared in the 2001 Hollywood movie "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider."
We were impressed by the temple's unique combination of nature and architecture, with trees and vines growing over through the temple's structures.
A visit to Ta Prohm is an unforgettable experience that combines history, culture, and nature.

Visit the Temple of Ta Prohm
Walk around in the Temple of Ta Prohm in Cambodia 🇰🇭 to feel the power of the jungle. Sceneries captured by @lillus_hege
Built from 1186, Ta Prohm was a Buddhist temple in the Angkor region. The complex has consisted of 260 statues of gods, 39 towers with pinnacles and 566 residence groups. Ta Prohm fell into disrepair following the fall of the Khmer Empire in the 15th century. From then, the trees started to take over the complex by growing on the roofs, crumbling stones and swallowing walls
📝Tip: As many the corridors are no longer passable, please follow the guide or landmarks to avoid getting lost.
