Breakfast like a local in Sarajevo
We stayed nearby the old town in sarajevo. Just 7mins walk to the old town. And found out this lovely local place for breakfast. The menu mostly meat and cooked the local way. You can eat it with the bread.
The also have onion soup that taste so good. The only thing I don’t like about this place (and almost all other restaurants in sarajevo) is that they allowed people to smoke inside the premise.

Latin Bridge Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
For these 9 pictures, I specifically flew to Sarajevo!
Half of it is a city, half is a tomb
For these 9 pictures, I specifically flew to Sarajevo! After 6 years, I came again!
.
The city is famous for being the 'fuse of the First World War'
After the disintegration of Yugoslavia, Sarajevo was besieged for 3 years and 10 months
Now walking on the road, you can also see bullet holes on the walls and bomb pits on the ground
.
The pure white obelisks on the mountains are everywhere, and most of the people on the tombstones stayed in their 20s
The blood roses on the ground are the never-ending tears on the Balkan Peninsula
This city of vicissitudes and tenacity, every detail is telling the pain behind the war.
.
Fortunately, the people living here are enthusiastic
Traveling here feels relaxed, not ostentatious but fascinating to me.
I really like this city, this is my second time to Sarajevo, and of course there will be many more times
There are many bridges along the river in
Sarajevo, and the most famous is the Latin Bridge.
On June 28, 1914, the Austrian-Hungarian Crown Prince Ferdinand and his wife visited the Sarajevo City Hall and took a convertible through the Latin Bridge. When they slowed down, they were mixed in a cheering crowd. The Bosnian youth called Gafferri Principe rushed out of the crowd and shot the Dagong couple, becoming the fuse of the outbreak of the First World War.
The City Hall next to the Latin Bridge, the Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince Ferdinand is here from the grand hall. It is one of the most representative buildings of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in Sarajevo, located in three main streets. Crossroads. However, it was later destroyed in the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and then rebuilt.
Bascarsija Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
The essence of Sarajevos Old Town is concentrated near the Turkish Square. The Old City was built during the Ottoman period in Turkey. It still maintains the style of hundreds of years ago. The mosque and the church coexist and are harmonious.
The Turkish Square is full of pigeons. When you see the tourists, you will come up to eat and eat. You are not afraid of people. As long as you reach out, there will be pigeons rushing to stop on your shoulders. It is too easy to take pictures.
Before I went, I specially made up for the former Yugoslav movie "Walter Defend Sarajevo" and follow the scenes in the movie. The narrow bronze street is just next to the square, still in the movie, the shops are next to each other, one after the other. The father of the store owner in Figure 5 is one of the coppersmiths who appeared in the movie. When I saw that I was Chinese, I also opened the movie on my computer and found the picture of his father. It was wonderful!
There is Walter's mosque in Walter and the Germans, the big bell tower when retreating, the Latin Bridge that caused the First World War, the dense bullet holes in the building, the encounter between the East and West culture... Both sides of the old street They are all cafes. If there is enough time, I want to stay here for a while, wandering in the streets and melting in the warm sunshine of Sarajevo.
