Guest UserI recently stayed at Thistle Hotel Port Dickson, and unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to several service and management issues.
The first problem was the check-in process. It took almost 50 minutes to check in, which is far too long. Even worse, there was no air conditioning in the lobby, so guests had to stand in a hot and uncomfortable environment while waiting in the queue.
The room amenities were also inadequate. The bathroom only provided a 100ml bottle of shampoo and shower gel, which was not enough for guests who wanted to shower multiple times during their stay.
The most frustrating issue was the infinity pool. The hotel indicated that the pool was open, but when we arrived, there was only a notice saying the pool was closed because no lifeguard was on duty. When I called the front desk to ask when the lifeguard would return, I was told the pool had actually been closed for a long time due to maintenance. This explanation was very confusing because on the evening we checked in, we saw guests using the pool, and the poolside food and beverage service was operating as usual. The following morning, the pool was suddenly closed. If the pool had really been under long-term maintenance, why wasn't the area blocked off properly or a maintenance notice displayed? Instead, the notice only stated that the pool was closed because no lifeguard was available. The inconsistent information and poor communication were unacceptable.
The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The service was very poor. Dirty plates were not cleared promptly, and we had to ask several times before staff came to clear the table. Food trays were frequently empty and not refilled in a timely manner—I had to return three times before I could finally get some of the items I wanted.
The egg station was another example of inconsistent service. When my mother requested sunny-side-up eggs, the staff told her they only served omelettes. However, when I went to ask again, the same staff immediately agreed to cook sunny-side-up eggs. This inconsistency was confusing and reflected poorly on the staff's service standards.
Overall, while the hotel has good facilities and potential, the slow check-in process, poor communication, inadequate amenities, and below-average breakfast service made this stay disappointing. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves both their customer service and operational standards.

Stayed at Pegasus Hotel Shah Alam recently as im having seminar at IDCC. The location is convenient with easy access to nearby shops. The room was comfortable and clean, though the design feels slightly dated. Basic amenities were provided and worked well. Staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. Overall, a decent and very affordable option for a short stay in Shah Alam.

Guest UserRoom: We stayed in a Double Queen room, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The beds were very cozy, and the bathroom was generally cleaned. However, on our second day, the housekeeping only made the beds and gave the bathroom a basic clean. They did not refill the toiletries, coffee, or other amenities. We called the reception and the refill items were sent to our room promptly.
Splash Park: Everything was great! Our kids had an amazing time and really enjoyed the Splash Park.
Breakfast: The food was delicious with a good variety of choices. However, some dishes were not refilled promptly, and we had to request the staff to replenish certain food items, beverages, and even the cutlery. Everything was good overall. There are just a few small areas that could be improved, possibly due to a shortage of staff during busy hours.
Overall: We had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, the Splash Park was fantastic, and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There was also plenty of parking available, which was very convenient. Despite the minor housekeeping and breakfast service issues, we would definitely stay here again and look forward to returning in the future.

Thanks to the Ancasa staff! We got a room with a beautiful view and it was super comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was open until 10 PM, so we could still swim even though we arrived late.
My only suggestion would be to offer more variety at breakfast. For example, adding salads and noodles, and more drink options too.
Thanks, Ancasa!

Erna ZaabarWe had a family vacation here and booked a 3-bedroom apartment for our family.
The Superior King Room was excellent — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with an iron, kettle, toothbrushes, and even a prayer mat.
The 3-bedroom apartment was very spacious. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the living hall was huge, making it perfect for a family stay.
The pool was very entertaining for the kids, especially with the water slides. The beach is just a short walk away from the resort. There were also plenty of activities such as table tennis, carrom, and swings, all with a beautiful beach view.
The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of food, and everything was delicious.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place for families with children.

A retreat into nature less than 1.5hrs from KL. Start with a serene drive leading to Pantai then turn left to the narrow road deep into the forest where all the villas are located. Kairos Villa is the only one with the paranormal view over the beautiful forest. My 1st feeling is like I am returning home. Beautiful home built with the generous use of local and Brazilan wood, 2 floors of wraparound terrace where we hung out most of the time to relax, detox from the e-world, catch the morning dew and sunset views in crisp air with a gentle flow of breeze. As this was an ex bird nests structure / the ventilation of the whole house is superb.
An accessibility room at the ground floor with shared indoor and outdoor kitchen, outside BBQ area. Here you have access to the organic garden. 1st floor there are 3 rooms with its own en suite bathroom, private balcony. At the landing a common seating area comfortably furnished. 2nd floor is the repeat of the same. The designer looking chairs esp just invite you to sink in to read a book. Seating area is so welcoming - rich wooden floor that is smooth and shiny, wood panel walls with eccentric paintings and photos.
Impressed that the whole house is so clean - I was walking about bare footed and no dirt not even at the balcony. About the only villa that welcome dogs. Local breakfast is served; unlimited tea, coffee and fresh spring water in the kitchen.
Rooms: Our room named Peace is sufficiently furnished with both fan, air conditioning, private balcony facing a green hill, 2 bottles of fresh spring water. The bathroom is basic with toilet and shower.
Food and drinks: Local Malaysian breakfast is provided. Plan to bring your own lunch and dinner. There is a double door fridge, oven, microwave, air fryer, gas stove with all utensils for cooking and dinning. Bonus is the garden has four angle beans, chili paid, pandan leave. The host let us use their extensive sauces and seasonings.

MAY LYNThe chalet was nice. Just felt the hotel is showing its age and it is overdue for a facelift. Also the beachfront was a major disappointment. What could have been a highlight of the stay was instead marred by trash — bottles, plastics, and debris scattered along the sand. It detracted from the natural beauty and made it difficult to enjoy the seaside atmosphere.

YumolnksonGot a free upgrade to a sea-view room. The service was excellent, and the room itself was pretty good overall. I was lucky enough to get a room in the very front row, with direct ocean views.
