Doumen Ancient Street is located in Doumen Town, at the southern end of the Pearl River Delta, in the northwest of Doumen District, Zhuhai City, east of Huangyang Mountain, west of Tiger Jumping Gate Waterway. Doumen Ancient Street, the main building integrates the unique arcade style of Chinese and Western architecture, so that the ancient street stands out in Doumen's buildings, the height of the shop is basically one, the specifications are similar, the exterior walls and corridor ceilings are decorated with bricks such as flower shapes and geometric patterns. The ancient street of Doumen, which combines Chinese and Western, can be seen vaguely as a commercial street and its former prosperity. The reason why Doumen Ancient Street can have this scene today is from 1850, when some architects, priests and other religious people from Macau, China, and Canada often visited and lived in Doumen Town. Due to the rapid development of the trade industry, the buildings of the old street in the town could not meet the needs of development. So foreign merchants and local rich merchants began to build streets and houses. In this case, Canadian architectural engineer Jia Liwei and others coordinated planning and design, and attracted the essence of classical architecture in Europe and the United States. From the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, more than 10 cloth shops, including Guangyingxiang, Dachang, Xiangsheng, and many department stores, Chinese medicine stores, Mipu, Qianzhuang. In addition to the shops, Christianity also built the Gospel Church, and Catholicism built a church on the second floor of the German-style building. These buildings constitute the whole picture of the ancient street of the Qing Dynasty in Doumen Town, making it the only ancient street in Zhuhai that is currently more complete. Although the ancient street is not the bustling of the past, it also retains some historical and cultural charm in the ruins of the broken wall.
