谷布神山位于卡若区日通乡冻多村，距县城40公里左右。该山海拔5400米左右，是昌都附近最高的山峰之一，被称为康区十八座神山之首。谷布全称为“匝吉谷窝琼普”，意为大鹏穿透的溶洞。受海拔影响，谷布神山显露出高原岩溶所特有的石芽、石柱、溶洞、竖井。据民间传说，谷布神山是梅里雪山的姊妹山，信徒要同时朝拜这两座神山，才被视为朝拜完整。
