Tiantai Temple, also known as "Dizang Temple" and "Dizang Temple", is located at the top of the Tiantai Peak in Jiuhua Mountain, Qingyang County, Anhui Province, at an altitude of 1306 meters, the highest temple in Jiuhua Mountain. Because the rooftop is the place where Buddhists worship the Tibetan holy sites, they often call the rooftop the main peak of Jiuhua Mountain, and there is a saying that Jiuhua "do not go to the rooftop, equal to white coming". Tiantai Temple lies on the recessed ground between the rooftop and Yuping Peak, sitting north facing south, stone and wood structure, hard mountain top, is a three-story residential temple. It is one of the key temples in Handi Buddhism in 1983 determined by the State Council. Tiantai Temple is composed of three groups of residential temples. The horizontal recess is made of peak ridge (Qinglong back) to the east as a barrier, the Yuping platform to the south as a wall, and the sudden boulders to the west and north as the connection points, and the eight-meter-high stone platform foundation is built on the depression ground to form a flat plane; The bottom of the temple is overhead, the lower storage well is placed, and the whole building is hidden by the towering cliffs, which are both wind-chill and very strong. The mountain gate is south of the temple wall, and it is a hole under a curved arch with a diameter of 3.4 meters. Entering the depth of 4.2 meters, entering the temple gate, after crossing the Maitreya statue, it is clear at a glance, the three-entry hall is connected, spacious, bright and neat. The hall (also known as the Wanfo Building) is 10 meters wide and 13 meters deep. Various wooden Buddha statues are hung between beams, and they are smoked by incense and cast iron. In 1955, the Qingyang County People's Government paid the Buddhist community to renovate the Tiantai Temple. This monastery was originally a four-story wooden structure. For a long time, due to the wet air and mountain spring water, the ground floor and columns were rotten. To maintain its original appearance, the Jiuhuashan Management Office has been rebuilt from 1980. Under extremely difficult construction conditions, with the most primitive means of handling, more than 600 tons of building materials were transported to the rooftop peak, and the underlying wooden structure was replaced with concrete structure, and the three-layer wooden structure above still preserved the original style. This treatment method has greatly extended the life of the original building. In 1983, the Buddha statue was rebuilt and painted with gold. The building area of the temple is 1,500 square meters. It has been determined by the State Council as a key Buddhist monastery in China in the Han nationality area. You must go to the rooftop when you come to Jiuhua Mountain, otherwise you will not come!
