菲安登城堡位居世界十大古堡之列，位于中世纪的古镇菲安登的乌尔河谷旁的小山丘的制高点上。城堡是以公元四世纪罗马时代的一个要塞为基础，在11到14世纪扩建成中世纪时欧洲非常著名的城堡。城堡最早属于菲安登伯爵家族，从城堡的规模上就能看出当时他们家族的势力是非常大的。到了1264年菲安登转给卢森堡伯爵，1417年又转给拿骚家族。拿骚家族后来成了荷兰的皇室，势力向西方发展，从此就不再是伯爵的行宫了。城堡年久失修成了残垣断壁，1977年归卢森堡国家所有后改成了博物馆对外开放。”
